The Folashade Memorial Hospital, built by the family of Late Madam Folashade Oduekun (nee Odukoya) has opened officially.
The hospital aimed at boosting access to quality and affordable healthcare is located in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State.
Declaring the hospital open, Arch Stephen Adekalu, who was supported by Mrs. Nike Adebanwo, and Seun Awopeju-Camille, said such facility was the best way to immortalise the memory of the founder’s industrious and virtuous grandmother.
Adekalu said the hospital was a demonstration of the deep-rooted compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the sanctity of life, inspired by the remarkable legacy of the late Oduekun.
He said facility would stand as a beacon of hope and address the shortage of hospitals in the Remo axis of the state.

According to him, it is only by doing so that the government’s efforts at bringing the dividends of democracy closer to the people at the grassroots who need these facilities can be accomplished.
Adekalu who expressed delight at the facilities available at the hospital, urged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the founder of the hospital by also embarking on legacy projects that would impact their communities and the larger society.
Also speaking, Adebanwo said the hospital would, in spite of its semi-urban location, provide exceptional, accessible, and affordable healthcare to all.
