    Foundation empowers less privileged to honour senator at 80

    Care People Foundation has marked the 80th birthday of its Grand Patron, Senator Bode Olajumoke, with free wheelchairs, and foodstuff.

    The event in Ibadan, Oyo State, saw over 20 widows receiving palliatives.

    President, Rev. Paul Tioluwani-Lesekese, described Olajumoke as a philanthropist and achiever.

    He said: “He is a statesman and a person who has the interest of Nigeria at heart. He is a man with high intelligence and an eye for detail…

    “He is grand patron of Care People Foundation and finances most of its projects. To date, he supports what we do.

    “He built a centre – Dr Bode Olajumoke Centre for Disabled People and Orphanage.

    “So, we feel the best way to celebrate his 80 years is to give to the less privileged people.”

    Beneficiaries praised Care People for the gesture and prayed for  Olajumoke.

    Tijani Saheed said the wheelchair would make him less dependent on others.

    Olajumoke was born in Lagos on July 1, 1944. He was senator and represented Ondo North Senatorial District.
