Frank Lampard Calls His Wife n Dog ‘My Two Bitches’

Frank Lampard has landed himself in hot water after posting an Instagram Story that referred to his wife and dog as “my two bitches”.

The former Chelsea footballer posted a photo of Christine Bleakley and their dog Minnie with the caption, and it has not exactly gone down well.

“Frank Lampard literally just did this nah man,” one person tweeted accompanied by the original picture.

“I can’t believe he said that. We should organise a protest against WAG jokes,” another person wrote on Instagram (via OK!).

“It is truth that patriarchy exists,” another added, while a third suggested: “Frank Lampard is definitely eating his dinner in the garden tonight”.

The post has since been deleted, though some came to his defence, one fan writing: “Frank Lampard posts a pic of his wife and dog captioned “my two b*****s”. deletes it later, presumably because people can’t take a joke.”

Frank and Loose Women panelist Christine tied the knot back in December 2015, the staropening up about their wedding earlier last year.

“She did, she did look amazing… and it went as well as we could have imagined actually,” he recalled.

“All the stress of organising – which she did 80% of at least! But on the day, we couldn’t complain, everything went perfectly. All our friends and close family were there, we had a great day.”

Kante wins 2017 football writers’ association.

The Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante takes his second individual prize of the campaign having also won the PFA Player of the Year award. He becomes the 18th player in the history of English football to win both awards in the same season.

Another Chelsea player, Eden Hazard came second in the voting, with Tottenham’s Dele Alli in third place. Between Kante and Hazard, a winner of the award in 2015, collected more than 65 per cent of the journalists’ votes.

Kante, who will receive his prize at a Gala Dinner in London on 18 May, said: ‘It is a fantastic honour to win this award. With so many great players in this Chelsea squad and in the Premier League, for the Football Writers’ Association of this country to name me as their Footballer of the Year is a very proud moment in my career.”

FWA Chairman Patrick Barclay added: ‘N’Golo Kante could not be a more deserving winner of English football’s most prestigious individual award. In the view of some FWA members, he would have been a worthy recipient last season for his contribution to Leicester’s title success, but the almost unbroken excellent form of Chelsea since he changed clubs has left little room for further debate.

“Considering the competition of Eden Hazard and others from Chelsea in particular, this is a great achievement.”

Kante played a pivotal role in the team’s success up until this point after moving to Stamford Bridge from Leicester City last summer.

His high energy levels and ability to win the ball, and distribute it intelligently, in midfield has been integral to the way in which Antonio Conte wants his team to play, and the 26-year-old has also provided a threat in the attacking third, as his brilliant goals in home matches against Manchester United testify.

In total, five Chelsea players were nominated by FWA members, with defenders David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta, as well as striker Diego Costa, also receiving votes.

N’Golo became the fourth Chelsea player to win the award, joining Hazard (2015), Frank Lampard (2005) and Gianfranco Zola (1997).

Lampard lauds Terry as greatest Premier League defender

Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has hailed John Terry as the English Premier League’s greatest ever defender.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Premier League leaders on Monday had announced that their captain would leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

The 36-year-old former England international, who made his Chelsea debut in 1998, played more than 700 games for the club and has been their most successful captain.

He won the 2012 UEFA Champions League, four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups and the Europa League with Chelsea.

Lampard, who was capped 106 times for England, is Chelsea’s all-time top goalscorer with 211 goals in over 400 appearances in all competitions.

“The last man standing of an incredible era for @chelseafc,’’ Lampard wrote on his instagram account. “What a pleasure to play with the greatest defender in the @premierleague history.

“He led the club both on and off the pitch from the moment he made his debut.

“He set standards for everyone, whether it was demanding excellence in training, fighting for every win or respecting how fortunate we were to play for such a great club.’’

Terry has started only four league games this season under manager Antonio Conte as the London outfit lead the league standings, four points clear with six games to play.

  • LAMPARD SEARCHING FOR MORE GOALS

    LAMPARD SEARCHING FOR MORE GOALS

FRANK Lampard hopes to extend his excellent record against Tottenham when they visit Manchester City on Saturday.

Lampard, who won City’s Player of the Month award for September, has scored eight goals against Spurs in his career, including an FA Cup semifinal strike in 2012.

And the midfielder could be in line to start at the weekend if Manuel Pellegrini decides to rest Yaya Toure — who played for Ivory Coast against DR Congo on Wednesday — ahead of City’s Champions League tie against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.

Lampard, currently on loan from New York City FC, told the Premier League champions’ official website: “I’ve done alright against Spurs over the years and playing them was always a big game at Chelsea. Even when I was at West Ham, Tottenham were big rivals so I’ve always seen it as a big game and something to mark on the calendar and that doesn’t change now I’m at City.

“I think they’ll be up and around the top six this season. They may go through a slight transitional period but I was very impressed with their manager when he was at Southampton and if he can bring the same imprint on Tottenham, who arguably have more quality within their squad, they’ll do really well.

“I’m sure their aim is to get into the Champions League, but it won’t be easy and there is a lot of competition and there are a lot of teams all trying to achieve the same goal.”

  • Imengers make history as first father, son to play for Nigeria

Imengers make history as first father, son to play for Nigeria

IT’S rare in football, but Barnabas Imenger and son, Nanen, have made history as the first father and son to play for Nigeria in the modern era.

There have been several successful ‘father and son’ playing acts in football across the world.

English football has celebrated Frank Lampard senior and Frank Lampard junior, Harry Redknapp and Jamie Redknapp, Kenny Dalglish and Paul Dalglish, Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips, (whispering) Brian Clough and Nigel Clough, and, of course, Paul Ince and Tom Ince.

Barnabas and son, Nanen, now hold the Nigerian record.

Imenger senior’s footballing exploits are well documented at clubs like BCC Lions, El-Kanemi Warriors and later, Lobi Stars.

Like his father who represented Nigeria at the USA 95 Gold Cup and the 1995 King Fahd Cup (now FIFA Confederation Cup), Nanen made Nigeria’s final squad to the 2014 CHAN, in South Africa.

Nanen’s goal for the Super Eagles in Nigeria’s 4-2 win over Mozambique at the CHAN also earned him a place in the history books as father and son are goal-scorers for the Super Eagles.

Imenger was in Westerhof’s army that earned Nigeria a place at the USA ’94 World Cup and also qualified for the AFCON in Tunisia. However, he didn’t make it to both competitions.

Interestingly, he got his time later as a member of Nigeria’s squad to the USA Gold Cup and King Fahd Cup.

Nanen is not new to the Super Eagles as he made his debut when Stephen Keshi started his first assignment with the league stars with a friendly against Angola, on the eve of the 2012 AFCON.

With four caps against Angola, Egypt, Jordan and Mozambique, Nanen could just push into Keshi’s preliminary squad for the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

With his brilliant goal at the CHAN, it’s obvious Nanen can make a name for himself.

Years after his exit from Nigeria, Westerhof returned to steer the Kwara State-owned Kwara Football Academy, KFA, from infancy. It’s the only record of father and son receiving football lessons from the same coach in Nigerian football history

It was at the KFA that he came across Nanen, whose father was one of the numerous stars that frequented the national team during his reign.

“The moment Westerhof realised his identity as my son, he said this is Barnabas Imenger Junior and that’s how the name has remained with him.

“Throughout his time at the KFA, he was called Barnabas and it was the same situation when he joined Kwara United.

“People don’t even know his name is not Barnabas. Since Westerhof called him Barnabas, it’s been difficult to correct it, so he’s added Barnabas as his middle name,” Imenger said.

Imenger is excited with his son’s progress.

“I’m delighted with Nanen’s progress because he has always been passionate about football. In fact, he was captain of his school team.

“My plan was to send him to the PEPSI Football Academy under Kashimawo Laloko, but the KFA came up when I realised Westerhof was in charge.

“I sent him to Ilorin and he was selected after trials,” Imenger told ojeksaikhoje.blogspot.com

The young attacker, who can play from the wings, has already made an impact at one of his father’s former clubs, Lobi Stars, and finished as top scorer last term.

Nanen learnt his trade at the Kwara Football Academy and got a chance to debut in the league at Kwara United.

From Kwara United, he got a chance to play in Europe for Sweden’s lower division side, Trelleborg. However, he returned to the country to join Lobi.

“I brought him to Lobi on his return to the country to monitor his career. I’m happy he’s back and that’s why he made the CHAN team,” Imenger stated.

Unknown to many, Imenger collapsed when Nanen was about to play a penalty during Lobi’s last league match against Kano Pillars, in Katsina-Ala, last term.

“It was a tensed atmosphere for me because he missed a penalty during the State Cup final. I didn’t even know what happened until I was revived,” the former Arab Contractors striker said to ojeksaikhoje.blogspot.com.

To Nanen, the incident won’t stop him from playing penalties for Lobi.

“I didn’t know my father collapsed after the match. We were close to Makurdi when a teammate mentioned it.

“It sounded funny, but that’s because my father is alive. I’ll continue with the assignment of taking penalties for Lobi,” noted Nanen.
