    CIG Motors Co. Limited, the sole authorised distributor of GAC Motors in Nigeria, has announced a long-term partnership with Cars 45, a foremost online trading automobile company.

    The benefit of the partnership is to offer trade in facility for any used GAC cars or other brands for brand new GAC Motor vehicles.

    “This partnership not only makes easy and increases the acquisition of brand new cars, it also grows the GAC used car market, thereby putting on the roads, a brand that we can trust to deliver,” Cars45 Vice President Trading, Mohammed Iyamu, said.

    The flag off held at CIG Motors Showroom in Ayorinde Victoria Island, Lagos.

    Some customers who were present were said to have their used cars inspected and valued to take the opportunity for the partnership.

    CIG Motors Marketing Senior Manager Kayode Adejumo said: “This is an ongoing opportunity for upwardly-mobile professionals and business community to experience GAC Motor state-of-the-art vehicles. Currently, in the market, the following vehicle models GA3S in the saloon range, GS4 and GS8 in the compact and large SUV category are available.

    “As part of the scheme, inspections, evaluations and test drives for interested buyers will be conducted daily in all CIG motors showroom across Nigeria. A promotion is running and with only about 10 per cent deposit and with the support of our financial partners owning a GAC vehicle has become even easier.”

  • Heritage Bank, GAC Motors partner on financing scheme

    Heritage Bank Plc has entered into a strategic partnership with the Choice International Group (CIG) Motors Limited to introduce a new vehicle finance scheme aimed at assisting interested and pre-qualified customers to buy brand new GAC Vehicles with ease and at affordable prices.

    The initiative tagged: “Go CAR-razy,” was facilitated by the sole representative of GAC Motors in Nigeria known as CIG, which enables individuals who meet the prescribed conditions to pay an equity contribution of 10% with 48 months tenor repayment.

    The scheme is largely for three models of cars and sport utility vehicles in the stable of GAC Motors: GS3, GS4 and GS8.

    Speaking on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MD/CEO of Heritage Bank, Mr. Ifie Sekibo said the auto finance scheme was tailored to suit customers’ needs with manageable monthly repayments and is best suited for individuals, organizations, corporate bodies and institutions to avail a convenient and easy access to finance options making it easier to buy and drive away a brand new GAC Motors.

     

     

    According to him, the partnership was planned to encourage customers to buy environmentally-friendly GAC vehicles instead of used cars otherwise known as “tokunbo.”

    Sekibo specifically explained that the reason for the alliance was to afford deserving customers with the ease of convenient and discounted opportunities with just 10% equity contribution, as against the 30% standard equity contribution required to own brand new GAC vehicles.

    He listed other benefits of the vehicle finance scheme, which involve competitive interest rate, discounted vehicle pricing, subsidized insurance premium, free vehicle registration.

    The Chairman of CIG, Chief Diana Chan, stressed that the automobile firm entered into partnership with the Heritage Bank because of its track record in quality service.

    According to her, “We are proud to partner with Heritage Bank on this Finance Scheme as we believe it gives Nigerians who are yarning for quality the opportunity to own the latest GAC vehicles with a soft payment plan.

    Access Bank Lagos City Marathon: Organisers confirm car prizes for new 10km race

    The organisers of the  Access Bank Lagos City Marathon has officially confirmed the introduction of 10km race during next year’s edition of the event.

    Two cars donated by GAC Motors have also been confirmed as the top prizes up for grabs by the winners of the Men’s and Women’s 10km races.

    These latest cheering developments were announced on Tuesday by Bukola Olopade the Project Consultant for the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon.

    Olopade explained that the introduction of the 10km races was geared at bringing more participants on board and further make the Lagos Marathon one of the top events on the athletics calendar across the world.

    According to him, the 10km race is opened to any individual resided in Nigeria regardless of their nationality.

    “We have approved the 10km race for next year marathon, this will bring more excitement to the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon,” he said.

    “We are very grateful to GAC Motors for the two cars they have donated for the winners of the men and women’s 10km races.

    “Whether you are Chinese, American, British or even Japanese, once you are resident in Nigeria you are qualified to take part.”

    It is understood that athletes outside Nigeria cannot take part in the 10km race but can give a shot at the Marathon.

    With the confirmation of the car prizes, it is expected that more people will step up their preparations to win big at the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon.

    A survey from different parts of the country shows that thousands of Nigerians, from professional runners to fun runners, are interested in the 10km event.

    Organizers of the marathon will have to work hard on logistics as there could be over 100,000 participants in the 10km race alone.

    The first two editions of the marathon, limited to just the 42km elite race, had over 50,000 participants in 2016 and over 70,000 participants in 2017 during the second edition.

  • Access Bank, GAC Motors sign auto-finance pact

    Access Bank has entered into partnership with Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC Motors) to enable more Nigerians have access to finance for affordable vehicles.

    The partnership allows customers of Access Bank to access funds needed to purchase the latest brands of GAC cars at discounted price and reduced interest rate.

    Speaking at the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Lagos yesterday, the Chairman of GAC Motors, Diana Chan, said the partnership is to enable more Nigerians afford high-end vehicles.

    “We have two strong brands, GAC, one of the best car makers in China, and Access Bank which is passionate about customers coming together to give Nigerians the chance to buy new cars with high durability at low cost,” she said.

    According to her, the company has enjoyed great patronage from the Nigerian market in the last four years of its operation in the country. “We want to support Nigerians that want to buy good cars at affordable cost,” she said.

    On his part, Access Bank Executive Director, Victor Etuokwu, explained that in making vehicle ownership affordable for its customers, the bank allows them to buy the cars with a 10 per cent equity contribution. He noted that the interest rate for the auto-finance remains attractive.

    Etuokwu said that Access Bank has strong prestige for vehicle financing. “In the last four to five  years, most banks have stayed away from the vehicle finance market but we are passionate about our customers and the Nigerian economy and that is why we are in this partnership.”

    Continuing, he noted that the offers coming with the vehicle financing scheme include free comprehensive insurance in the vehicles purchased for the first one year.

    “Access Bank and GAC Motors are committed to creating huge value for Nigerian automobile users. We have huge ambitions as we go on this drive,” he said.

    He however noted that the scheme covers purchases on the GA3 S, GS4 and GS8 models of the GAC Motors.

    Chan explained that the choice of the three models was to reach out to all levels of customers from junior executives to high net-worth individuals.

    GAC Motors has presented two cars to ‘exceptional winners’ at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in Lagos.
    Chief Diana Chan, the Chairman of CIG Group, which is the sole distributor and representative of leading Chinese automakers, GAC Motors said the gesture was to encourage the nation’s creative industry.
    “I am a Nigerian at heart and I have followed the growth of Nollywood over the years and I must say that I am very impressed with the progress of the industry. We at GAC Motors take it as a personal cause to support people like you who are creative and exceptional and we will continue to do so in every way we can,” she said.
    She said the partnership between GAC Motors and the Nigerian Creative Industry didn’t just begin.
    “For a few years now, GAC Motors has been in the forefront, supporting Nigeria’s Creative Industry in generous measures. In 2016, GAC Motors gave out two GS5 Trumpchi cars to winners at the AMVCA. Star actress and filmmaker Stephanie Linus who won the Best Overall Movie in Africa Award was one of the lucky winners,” she said.
    She said that the luxury SUV, GS4 and the classic sedan, GA3 were given to two outstanding actors Chika Okpala and Somkele Idhalama respectively. While Mr Okpala received the GS4, Idhalama received the GA3.

  • GAC Motors opens ultra-modern facility

    AC Motors, one of the leading Chinese automobile manufacturers has demonstrated its strong resolve to compete in the Nigerian automobile market by opening an ultra-modern three S facility in Victoria Island, Lagos.

    The Chinese auto maker, represented in Nigeria by CIG Motors, before the completion of its new facility was operating from the Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island and has taken part in the annual Abuja and Lagos Motor shows, as well as private exhibitions at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
