    GIDI delivers first phase of civic residence amid harsh market conditions

    GIDI Real Estate Investment Limited has handed over keys to homeowners in the first phase of its Civic Residence project in Lagos, completing the development in just over 12 months despite economic headwinds and supply chain disruptions.

    The delivery, which comes barely eight months after the company completed its debut project, The Palms Residence 1, highlights GIDI’s growing footprint in the state’s residential real estate sector at a time when investor confidence is being tested.

    Civic Residence, a sustainable residential community, has already seen a rise in property value since construction began, making early investors key beneficiaries of the project.

    Chief Executive Officer, Tobi Akerele, described timely delivery as the firm’s standard. “Our commitment is to create developments that combine quality, speed, and value while fostering sustainable communities across Africa,” he said.

    Also speaking, Ayorinde Ejioye, a senior executive, stressed that the company intends to use the Civic Residence model to contribute to bridging Africa’s housing deficit.

    With partial occupation already underway and subsequent phases in development, GIDI said it hopes to strengthen investor trust while setting new benchmarks for efficiency in the housing sector.

    As high construction costs continued to affect the building sector in Nigeria, a fast-growing real estate firm, Gidi Real Estate Investment has launched a bungalow estate tagged, ‘Civic Residence’ to make housing more affordable.

    Speaking at the commissioning of the housing scheme in Ajah, Lagos, the MD/CEO, Akerele Tobi reinstated his commitment to reducing the housing deficit in Africa through the development of cost-effective properties.

    The CEO stressed that the project is built for people who wants to enjoy the simplicity of life, “Civic Residence is a development of fully detached smart bungalows comprising of 2 & 3 Bedroom bungalows with BQ, 4 Bedroom bungalows with BQ and a Penthouse, and 3 Bedroom fully detached duplexes.”

    Its Chief Operating Officer, Ayorinde Ejioye, noted that the primary goal of the company’s investment in bungalows is to ensure residents’ privacy.

    “Breaking away from the regular terraces and duplexes that we are known for, we are building smart bungalows to enhance the meaning of communal living. The most important part of a community is its ability to retain privacy. At Civic Residence, you get to enjoy the bliss of sharing walls with no neighbour on a civil platter. The estate has already sold out by 50% before the it was physically launched,” he said.

    On the concept of the project, the Business Development Manager, Badra Lawal highlighted smart innovation, design style, affordability and location of estate as some of the unique selling points.
