South African-based Nigerian artist, Ajimisan Gift Ebunoluwa, popularly known as “GIF3RD,” has been nominated for the prestigious Delta State Diaspora Awards 2024.
The talented musician is up for honors in two categories: “Breakout Artiste of the Year” and “Next Rated Artiste of the Year.”
The Delta State Diaspora Awards is an annual event that celebrates the achievements and contributions of artists born in Delta state or from Delta State living abroad. The awards are divided into two categories: voting and non-voting. This year, there are ten voting categories and seven honorary awards. Winners in the voting categories will be determined by the highest number of votes, with voting currently underway on the Straw Poll platform. Voting will close on October 10, 2024, and all votes will be verified by Straw Poll.
The award ceremony is set to take place on October 31, 2024, at the Grand Hotel in Asaba, where the winners will receive their plaques.
GIF3RD, who is based in Cape Town, South Africa, expressed his gratitude for the recognition. He stated, “It feels great to be acknowledged by the organizers of this award. This nomination is a reminder that consistency and focus can make a significant impact, even when you think no one is watching.” He also vowed to continue being a proud ambassador for Delta State.
