Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has partnered Dr. Malvis Humphrey of London Professional Training Centre on events to mark World Food Safety Day in Lagos and Edo states.
During a workshop, stakeholders across the food chain, from producers to consumers discussed critical strategies for ensuring food safety at scale.

The discussions featured farmers, chefs, food business critics and consultants, housewives, who reflected on food handling; representatives from Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST); speakers from food manufacturing firms, government agency officials and regulators.
In addition, the campaign team conducted market sensitisations and school outreach programmes engaging traders, pupils, and households with food safety practice using flyers, demos, and announcements in dialects and pidgin.
