Former Flying Eagles star, Akor Adams has disclosed that his first goal against Auxerre last weekend came from their practice sessions in training and was delighted Montpellier came back from behind to win the game.
The former French Ligue One champions were winless before the tie and were on the cusp of another loss when they went behind twice in the encounter played before their fans.
The Nigerian scored twice in 10 second half minutes including the winning goal to ensure the club earn their first win of the season.
Adams told NationSport: “I am happy to get the double and also victory for the team. Thank God we turned it around after coming twice from behind.”

“The first is a set piece we have been practicing in training and I was just at the right place for a header.
“The second was a recovered ball by the midfielder, I was in the middle of pitch seeing I had enough space in-between and behind the Defence I just ran and the ball came perfect.
“All I could do then was pick an angle and I am happy it went in and we got the win.”
Adams must be at his best this weekend as Montpellier face AS Monaco away in another French Ligue One tie.
