    Godwin Nnadiekwe speaks after recovering from on-set injury

    Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has announced recovery after a recent on-set incident involving fellow actor Zubby Michael.

    According to Nnadiekwe, he sustained injuries after being kicked by Michael during a movie shoot, which led to a brief hospitalisation.

    In an Instagram post, Nnadiekwe expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported and prayed for him during his recovery.

    He revealed that the outpouring of love, empathy, and well wishes made a significant difference in his healing process.

    Nnadiekwe stated that he has made a strong recovery and is now focusing on his well-being and returning to work.

    He wrote: “I really want to say thank you to everyone of you. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, empathy, and well wishes I received following my accident on the movie set with Zubby Michael. It has been a challenging journey, but your incredible support has made all the difference.

    “I’m happy to share that I have made a strong recovery. Your thoughts and prayers truly lifted my spirits and played a significant part in my healing process.

    “Moving forward, my focus will be on my well-being and returning to work. I’m excited to embrace this new chapter with renewed strength, hope and a deep sense of gratitude for each and every one of you.

    “Thank you. I look forward to working on new projects, I’m ready, I’m here and the show must go on. With immense gratitude, Godwin Nnadiekwe”.

    Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe hospitalised after on-set incident with Zubby Michael

    Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has been hospitalised after a disturbing incident on a movie set with his colleague Zubby Michael.

    According to Godwin, during filming, Zubby kicked him in the chest, which wasn’t part of the script or directed by the filmmaker.

    It was gathered that this unexpected action caused Godwin serious pain and led to internal bleeding, requiring hospitalisation and treatment.

    In an Instagram post, Godwin shared details about the incident, emphasising that his intention wasn’t to call out Zubby but to raise awareness about the importance of safety on movie sets.

    He stressed the need for sticking to the script and ensuring everyone’s safety and well-being during filming, especially when working without insurance policies or readily available first aid.

    He wrote, “Just wanted to share an incident that happened on set a few days ago. This isn’t to call anyone out, but it’s a serious reminder to prioritise each other’s safety on set. During a scene, I received a kick to the chest from my colleague who wasn’t part of the script or directed by the director.

    “It’s caused me serious pain. Had to get medication for my chest to feel better today. I did all these by myself. No assistance! When we’re working without insurance policies or readily available first aid, unexpected physical actions like this, even if accidental, can have real consequences. Let us commit to sticking to the script and ensuring everyone feels safe and respected.

    “What if something more serious had happened? Or this went south? Every action on set, particularly physical ones, must be intentional and within the director’s vision. Please let us all look out for each other and ensure our sets are always safe spaces where everyone feels secure and protected. Our health and safety are paramount. Our well-being should always come first. Peace !!!”

    Godwin’s management team later shared an update on his condition, stating that he’s undergoing treatment for internal bleeding and appreciates the concern and well wishes for his recovery.

    The statement reads, “We regret to inform you that Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe was rushed to the hospital this evening. He is undergoing treatment for internal bleeding following an incident involving a kick on the chest during filming with his colleague Zubby Michael.

    “We are committed to providing the best possible care and will ensure timely updates are shared with the public and the AGN board. We appreciate your concern and well wishes for Godwin at this time. Keep Godwin in your thoughts. Management.”
