Gov Sule dissociates self from 2027 Senatorial campaign

Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has urged his supporters not to distract him with 2027  senatorial campaigns, saying he is focused on delivering on his present mandate for the people of the state

Sule stated this when he hosted a delegation of traditional rulers and stakeholders from Akwanga Local Government Area on Friday in Lafia.

He particularly called on those already campaigning for him to join the race for the Nasarawa North senatorial district in 2027,  to desist.

Sule noted that he was focusing  attention to make the next two years left of his administration, the best years for the state.

“We are doing our best to do that. However, you know we can’t do that if we are distracted by campaigns.

” If you see anybody campaigning for A. A Sule as a senator, the person is doing it on his own, ” he said.

The governor, therefore, urged elected officials from Nasarawa North to also focus on their various mandates and to deliver, instead of embarking on early campaigns.

He reiterated that the two years ahead of him would be the most productive for his administration, moreso with the signing into law the 2025 budget pegged at over N384bn.

Sule assured of his administration’s commitment to implement policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the star

In his remarks, Mr Samson Gamu Yare, the ‘Chun Mada,’ said that Nasarawa North senatorial zone was proud of the exemplary leadership and developmental initiatives of Gov Sule.

“Your far-reaching development initiatives are unprecedented in the history of the state with visible projects spread across the entire state.

“We are therefore, here to reaffirm our total support and unflinching loyalty to your administration,” he said.
