    Gov Radda loses aide, mourns

    Katsina Governor Dikko Umaru Radda  has mourned his Special Adviser on Community Development,Nasidi Danladi Garki.

    Garki, a highly respected public servant and grassroots mobiliser, died in the early hours of Saturday. 

    He hailed from  Garki town in Baure Local Government Area. 

    The Governor while expressing profound sadness over the loss, described the Special Adviser as a dedicated patriot who served his people and the state with humility, loyalty, and a remarkable commitment to community uplift.

    He said  “Hon. Nasidi Danladi Garki was not just a close associate but a deeply committed son of Katsina State. In his role as Special Adviser on Community Development, he championed the cause of rural inclusion and community engagement with sincerity and passion”

    ”His passing is a great loss to this administration, to his family, and to all who had the privilege to work with him. 

    ”The late Garki played an instrumental role in bridging the gap between government and the grassroots, especially in rural empowerment programs and social mobilisation efforts under the current administration.”

    He extended condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Baure Local Government, and the entire Katsina State community.

    Gov Radda resumes after minor auto crash

    Katsina Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has resumed.duties after having been discharged from the hospital and certified medically fit. 

    The Nation recalled that Radda was admitted to the hospital following a road accident on his journey from Katsina to Daura.

    A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Ibrahim Kaula explained the Governor’s medical expert certified him completely fit to continue his official functions and resume full gubernatorial duties with immediate effect.

    Katsina govt to foot medical bills of victims in Gov Radda’s convoy accident

    The Katsina State Government has pledged to fully cover the medical expenses of the nine victims involved in a car accident involving the convoy of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.

    The Nation recalls that the incident occurred on Sunday evening along Katsina Road, Daura, near the School of Health Technology, when a private Golf Volkswagen car collided with the Governor’s vehicle.

    While Governor Radda emerged unhurt, nine passengers in the private vehicle sustained varying degrees of injuries.

    Two of the victims suffered minor fractures, while the remaining seven sustained bruises and other injuries. All are currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Daura.

    A delegation from the state government, led by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango, visited the victims at the hospital and assured them of the government’s commitment to settling all medical bills.

    The victims and their families expressed gratitude to the state government for its swift response, support, and display of compassion.

    According to hospital sources, the condition of all the injured persons is improving steadily.

    Gov Radda hails appointment of two indigenes into Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority

    Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has commended the appointments of two distinguished indigenes of the state to top positions at the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA). 

    In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda praised the selection of Badru Muntaka Ahmed, CEO of Hillside Royal Suites, as the Executive Director of Agricultural Services.

    Badru, a seasoned banking executive with over 20 years of experience in agricultural financing and regional development, holds a degree in agricultural education from Ahmadu Bello University. 

    Highlighting Badru’s accomplishments, the Governor noted, “His proven track record in managing complex regional operations and agricultural financing will be invaluable to the Authority’s mission.” 

    Governor Radda also lauded the appointment of Abubakar Ibrahim Dutsin-ma as Executive Director of Finance. Abubakar, an experienced public sector professional, has served as Mandate Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development and has chaired various ministerial committees, including those overseeing the sale of fertilisers, pesticides, and agrochemicals.

    Currently pursuing an MBA in Agribusiness Management at Rome Business School, Abubakar brings a wealth of expertise to the role.

    “These appointments reflect President Tinubu’s careful selection of individuals with technical expertise and a deep understanding of regional needs. They underscore the President’s commitment to merit-based leadership,” the Governor stated. 

    Governor Radda, on behalf of the Katsina State government and its people, congratulated the appointees and expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for recognising Katsina’s human capital. 

    “We are confident that their service will significantly contribute to the Federal Government’s agricultural transformation agenda,” he concluded.

    Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has praised the virtues and accomplishments of former President Muhammadu Buhari on his 82nd birthday.

    In a heartfelt birthday message to the former president, Radda commended Buhari’s unwavering commitment to public service, highlighting his exceptional leadership and dedication to the progress of the nation.

    He said: ’’The former president remains a paradigm of integrity and strategic vision and has consistently demonstrated undivided zeal to improve the lives of Nigerians.
