Be security conscious, avoid risky travels, Kaduna gov cautions corps members

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has charged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to the state to be security conscious, avoid unnecessary travels, and embrace their service year with discipline, diligence, and patriotism.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course at the NYSC temporary camp, Government College, Kaduna, Governor Sani, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Barrister Gloria Ibrahim, urged corps members to approach their service with enthusiasm and a commitment to national unity.

He reminded them that their stay in Kaduna should not only be about service but also about learning, community engagement, and personal development.

“As you move to your various places of primary assignment, be security conscious and conduct yourselves responsibly,” the governor said. “Your safety is of utmost importance. Always seek permission before traveling and avoid unnecessary movements that could expose you to danger.”

Governor Sani assured that his administration remains committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all corps members across the state. He called on employers in both the public and private sectors to support, mentor, and provide a conducive environment for corps members posted to their establishments.

“Kaduna State Government will continue to partner with the NYSC to promote youth development. We urge employers to see corps members as valuable assets and not just temporary staff,” he added.

Earlier in her address, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Efeke Murna Dadaza, also advised corps members to remain vigilant, respect local cultures, and avoid conduct capable of causing conflict in their host communities.

“Be modest, humble, and security conscious at all times,” she said. “Do everything possible to avoid arguments that could trigger violence. Kaduna is safe and accommodating, but your personal security begins with you.”

Dadaza warned corps members against unauthorized and frivolous travels, stressing that many unfortunate incidents in the past had occurred due to reckless movement. She urged them to always obtain clearance from appropriate authorities before embarking on any journey.

The coordinator commended Governor Uba Sani for his continued support of the scheme, including the donation of a brand-new Hilux vehicle to ease operations. She appealed to the state government to provide a permanent orientation camp and renovate existing facilities to accommodate the increasing number of corps members.

Dadaza also praised security agencies and camp officials for their commitment to maintaining discipline and order throughout the orientation exercise.

The ceremony marked the end of the three-week orientation programme for the Batch B Stream II corps members, who are now set to proceed to their various places of primary assignment across Kaduna State.

  • Kaduna to host public relations week next year

Kaduna to host public relations week next year

Governor Uba Sani has accepted to host the 2026 Nigeria Public Relations Week in Kaduna, promising that next year’s edition will be one of the best events.

The Governor made the pledge when the National President of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations(NIPR), Dr Ike Neliaku and members of his Executive paid a courtesy call at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.

Governor Uba Sani also promised to nominate two Government officials to serve on the National Planning Committee and three others on the Local Organising Committee.

The Governor noted that the theme of next year’s event aligns with the broad objectives of the Kaduna Peace Model which emphasises non-kinetic approach towards tackling insecurity.

The theme of 2026 Nigerian Public Relations Week is ‘’Food Security: From Policy Paper To Public Plates, The Public Relations Imperatives.’’

Governor Uba Sani disclosed that when he assumed office, his administration studied the drivers of insecurity because Kaduna State was associated with banditry, kidnapping and ethno-religious crises.

According to him, one of the things he discovered was that insecurity was fuelled by economic crisis, whereby people felt hopeless and abandoned.

The Governor also recalled that Agriculture was under-funded as the budgetary allocation to the sector by the previous administration was less than 1%.

‘’So, we invested heavily in agriculture and we allocated 12% of our budget to the sector, surpassing the Malabo declaration which advised states to devote 10% of the budgets to Agriculture,’’ he added.

Governor Uba Sani pointed out that adequate funding of the Agricultural sector is central to the success of the Kaduna Peace Model because it contributes 43% of the state’s GDP and employs about 60% of the population.

The Governor said that as a result of his administration’s intervention, farmers have returned to farms, adding that over 500, 000 hectres of land have been reclaimed.

According to him, Kaduna State was the first subnational to launch the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone in Nigeria, which aims to transform Agriculture to a high-value economic sector and create jobs.

Governor Uba Sani also said that Kaduna State is also developing the Agricultural Quality Assurance Centre(AQAC) with the support of Afrexim Bank, to enhance its farmers’ produce and reduce post harvest losses.

He further disclosed that 192 primary healthcare centers and all schools that were closed down because of insecurity have been opened in the last two years.

Governor Uba Sani noted that peace has returned to Birnin Gwari and Giwa towns that were centres of insecurity, adding that economic activities are now booming in those areas.

The Governor said that there has not been any ethno-religious crisis in Kaduna State since he assumed office, arguing that the Kaduna Peace Model of non-kinetic approach is about good governance.

‘’The UK Government has officially lifted its travel restrictions on Kaduna State, upgrading it from ‘’red’’ to ‘’amber’’. In 2022, the country placed Kaduna on its ‘’red’’ list due to insecurity,’’ he recalled.

Governor Uba Sani pointed out that while the citizens of Kaduna State and the world at large are happy with the prevailing peace, conflict entrepreneurs are unhappy with the positive development.

Speaking earlier, Dr Neliaku said that the Nigeria Public Relations week was first held in Abeokuta in the southwest and the second one was in Uyo in the south-south.

He disclosed that Kaduna was chosen after a very rigorous process but Kano was still waiting in the wings in case Kaduna failed to accept the hosting offer.

The NIPR President revealed that next year Nigeria will host ‘’the World Public Relations Forum, which is the biggest gathering of communication experts all over the world.’’

According to him, the forum comprises ‘’those who are advising presidents, those who are managing corporations; they agreed to come to Nigeria in November 2026. This is the second time it is coming to Africa. And the first time it is coming to Nigeria.’’

Dr Neliaku argued that the third Nigeria Public Relations Week, which will be held in Kaduna next year, will ‘’be the foundational program that will now usher the World Public Relations Forum.’’

The NIPR President disclosed that Nigeria plans to establish the first university of Public Relations and Leadership in the world, adding that ‘’we are working with the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication.’’

Health workers laud Gov Sani over CONHESS implementation

The Kaduna State Council of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has commended Governor Uba Sani for implementing the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) and the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) for health workers in the state.

The commendation was contained in a letter jointly signed by the state chairman, Comrade Ishaku Yakubu, and the state secretary, Comrade Christiana Bawa, and addressed to the governor.

According to the association, the decision to effect the salary structures was an act of fairness and magnanimity that has rekindled the hope of many dedicated nurses in the governor’s administration and in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

NANNM stated that Governor Sani had not only demonstrated genuine commitment to the welfare of nurses and other health workers but had also reaffirmed his passion for strengthening healthcare delivery in Kaduna State.

It noted that the implementation of both CONHESS and CONMESS came at a time of competing demands on the state’s resources, yet the governor placed a premium on the well-being of health professionals.

“This visionary leadership has boosted morale, improved productivity, and positioned Kaduna State as a model of labour-friendly governance,” the council declared.

The body maintained that such interventions would go a long way in improving healthcare outcomes in the state, as motivated workers are better positioned to deliver quality service to citizens.

The nurses and midwives, while applauding the governor’s action, pledged continuous loyalty, dedication, and professional excellence in service of Kaduna State as their contribution to his transformative agenda in the health sector.

Governor Uba Sani: Tinubu’s reforms will save Nigeria’s economy from collapse

Kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani, on Friday, criticised those politicising President Bola Tinubu’s reforms, stressing that the measures are essential to prevent Nigeria’s economy from collapsing.

Speaking at the 48th National Council on Information and National Orientation in Kaduna, Sani described the economy inherited by the current administration as being in a state of near collapse.

He highlighted that President Tinubu’s innovative and creative solutions are aimed at revitalizing the economy and setting the country on a path to sustainable growth and development.

While acknowledging the challenges associated with the reforms, the governor assured that they are being implemented with good intentions for the benefit of the Nigerian people.

He said: “Our dear President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR assumed office at a trying time in the nation’s history. He inherited a near comatose economy.

“He therefore has the unenviable task of initiating and implementing far-reaching measures to prevent the Nigerian economy from collapse. Because of global economic meltdown and years of mismanagement in Nigeria, fixing our economy requires time and sustained re-engineering.

“That is why Mr. President has come up with innovative and creative solutions to reinvent the economy and put our nation irreversibly on the path to sustainable growth and development.

“Although some of the measures have been painful, they are being implemented with good intentions, for the greater good of the Nigerian people. As a Father of the nation, President Tinubu has continued to renew our hope in the possibilities of the Nigerian nation.”

He therefore charged information managers to help communicate the background of the reforms to the people.

He said: “Information Managers have a responsibility to effectively communicate Mr. President’s Reform Agenda to the Nigerian people. We must fashion a robust Communications Strategy to carry out this important task. We must give the people the background to the reforms, what it is all about, and the benefits therein.

“We must be patient with the people and break things down for them. Messages should be crafted in a way that takes care of the peculiarities of different audiences. We need the buy in of the people in what we do. The people are our pillar of support.”

Governor Sani also called for strategic communication strategies to counter divisive and negative narratives by some elements in the country, who he alleged have politicize virtually everything.

He said: “We have viewed with grave concern how elements whose interests are alien to democracy have been working assiduously to derail our country’s hard won democracy.

“They have been manipulating our people and creating disunity. They politicize virtually everything. They have been de-marketing our country and giving it a negative image in the international community.

“We must watch them closely and devise strategic communication strategies to counter their divisive and negative narratives.”

Sani earned praises for  rejigging sports in Kaduna

Governor Uba Sani has reconfigured the Ministry of Sports Development and increased funding for sporting activities, which have translated to Kaduna State’s improved rating in the sporting arena.

The Commissioner of Sports Development, Professor Benjamin Gugong who made this known at the weekend, was clarifying Kaduna State’s stellar performance at the recent National Youth Under-15 Games which held at Asaba, the Delta State capital.

Prof Gugong disclosed that Kaduna State bagged 12 medals, including five gold medals, four silver medals and three bronze medals, making it the subnational with the highest laurels in the North West zone.

‘’Kaduna State came first in the North West, second in the North and 11th in the entire country. This is the best outing that the state has made in the National Under-15 Games. And with the support that Governor Uba Sani has been giving the Ministry of Sports Development since he assumed office, our athletes will better this record in coming competitions,’’ he assured.

He further  said that before the 8th  edition of the U-15 Youth Games, Kaduna State athletes were never put in a camp and given rigorous training but Governor Uba Sani ‘’approved funds which enabled us to camp our athletes for one whole week.’’

‘’Before then, Kaduna State hosted the North West at the zonal elimination series in preparation for the National Youth Games. We bore the financial burden and won all the Team sports,’’ he said.

According to Prof Gugong, Governor Sani has been encouraging sports development in Kaduna State by returning ‘’some of our sporting facilities to the ministry.’’

He said that Kaduna Township Stadium, Zaria and Kafanchan Township Stadiums have been returned to the Ministry of Sports Development, from the abolished Metropolitan and Municipal Authorities, adding the Governor wants to create a conducive environment ‘where scouts will come to Kaduna State and sign lucrative contracts with our athletes’.

  • Gov Sani building 62 roads, spanning 700 kilometers across Kaduna – KADRA MD

Gov Sani building 62 roads, spanning 700 kilometers across Kaduna – KADRA MD

The administration of Governor Uba Sani had in the last 16 months initiated 62 roads, spanning over 700 kilometers across the three senatorial zones of Kaduna State.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna Roads Agency (KADRA), Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, who stated this while speaking with journalists after inspection of some ongoing rural road projects, said some of the 62 road projects have been completed, while others are at various stages of completion.

The KADRA boss who said, most of the roads were deliberately located in the rural areas to boast the rural economy, as part of Governor Uba Sani’s rural revitalization programme, however assured all the abandoned urban road projects inherited from the previous administration, will be completed in due course.

According to him: “The Governor Uba Sani’s administration recognizes that well-constructed roads are the backbone of economic activity, connecting farmers to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. The achievements we celebrate thus far are not just about roads and bridges; they represent our commitment to building a more connected, prosperous, and inclusive Kaduna State.

“We have more 62 roads initiated by this administration, spanning more than 700 kilometers. The projects we have initiated are not just for the present, but for the future of Kaduna State, a future we are building together.

“The central policy thrust of Governor Uba Sani’s administration is Rural Transformation aimed at revitalising the rural economy and bridging the urban-rural divide. By investing in massive infrastructure projects, we are not only enhancing connectivity but also curbing rural-urban migration.

“These developments have positively stimulated economic activities in rural areas, leading to a reduction in post-harvest losses and facilitating the easy transportation of farm produce to markets. This, in turn, empowers our farmers and strengthens the local economy.”

Baba Ahmed also emphasised Sani’s unwavering commitment to addressing the needs of the urban poor, who have often felt marginalised and disconnected from the dividends of democracy, noting that, many citizens are now jubilant as they witness tangible development in their communities, particularly through improved access roads, installation of streetlights, and other vital infrastructure projects.

“These efforts are not just about development; they are about inclusion. They are designed to uplift the living standards of all residents and ensure that no one is left behind in the quest for progress,” he said.

He listed some of the roads to include: 22.5km Asphaltic Road from Gwantu through Kibam to Godogodo; Reconstruction/Upgrading of Asphaltic Access Roads within the Old Panteka Market; Reconstruction of a 6km asphaltic road from Rafin Guza to Hayin Na’iya to Malalin Gabas to Kukumaki: Construction of a 13km Access Road Connecting Turawa to Dinya through Da’a, Kurungupi, and Kadage in Soba Local Government Area; Construction of a 5.8km Access Road from Gwaraji to Wusar, connecting Igabi and Kajuru Local Government Areas, and construction of a 15km Access Road Connecting Kasuwar Magani to Wusar in Kajuru Local Government Area.

He listed others to include: Reconstruction and Upgrading of Ja Abdulkadir Asphaltic Road, Unguwan Rimi, Kaduna; Construction of a 5.525km Asphaltic Road from Airport Road to Tudun Biri Community; Completion of Abandoned PAN Drive to Kachia Road; Construction of a 35km Access Road from Gadan Gayan through Gwaraji to Kujama Junction; Reconstruction of a 14.8km Asphaltic Ring Access Road from Danbushiya Junction to Danhonou 2; Reconstruction of a 35.6km Road from Bagoma to Gagumi and reconstruction of a 21.95km Asphaltic Road from Madauchi to Kafanchan, linking Jema‘a to Zangon Kataf LGA.

He disclosed that, one of the landmark projects underway is the construction of about fifteen (15) Networks of Roads and bridges connecting College Road Unguwan Dosa to Millennium City, saying that, vital infrastructure is to be constructed under the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) arrangement and will link hundreds of communities, significantly enhancing economic prosperity in these areas.

He said the construction of those important roads are transformative development for the benefiting rural communities, through facilitation of the movement of goods and services. “the roads are poised to boost agricultural productivity, reduce travel time, foster economic growth, and improve the overall quality of life for residents of the affected communities.

Speaking about the abandoned projects inherited from the previous administration, the KADRA MD said; “It is no longer news that, this administration inherited so much debt, and we have so many abandoned projects which we inherited. But, there is plan for the completion of these roads. We are prioritizing these road.

“As you may be aware, the section of PAN Drive has been completed, we are now working on Ohinoyi Road, as well as Sultan-Surami Road. All these are projects we inherited and we are taking them one after the other. The truth is that, we cannot not complete all the inherited projects at once, because we have budgetary constraints, but we have a concrete plan to complete all these projects,” he said.

  • Fleecing Kaduna

    Fleecing Kaduna

Men like Mallam Nasir el Rufai fit the experiment that added the phrase “Pavlov’s dog” to the lexicon. Ivan Pavlov, a Russian neurologist, rang a bell and fed a dog, and each time the dog heard a bell ring, it salivated. Bell ring was a synonym for drools of joy.

He demonstrated that the human species can respond in a certain way to external stimuli. The former Kaduna State governor was not born when Pavlov and his dog invented an idea. But if you follow the man who almost became power minister, you will know that he has a Pavlov dog’s feature. He does not salivate for food. He drools for trouble. Trouble is his bone and raw meat in the cage.

We saw it when he was in BPE and what he called an accidental public servant. When as FCT helmsman it was revealed he gave lands and deals to his family and he reveled in the storm. As a man who turned his back on his first mentor, who was not really worthy of that name. Atiku Abubakar, that is. As traitor to Obj. As turncoat to Yar’Adua, the former president.

Read Also; FG funded 3rd Mainland bridge repairs, says Umahi

A man with a quicksand temperament like Mallam, as he is often called, may veer by accident of self-interest into the right cause as he did in the last polling season when he tackled former president Muhammadu Buhari and his cabal up to the Supreme Court for asphyxiating the naira. He is amoral, egotist, and inevitably a hunter. He has no qualms since he loves to quarrel and he is never calm. He loves the art of the manoeuvre, to hop from person to issues and back, the turbulence of a restless soul.

But such persons develop the delusion of invincibility, like the words of Shakespeare’s character who boasts, “I am Caesar, fear, fear Caesar.” The former Kaduna State helmsman sees himself as an epic invention of fate, like Nietzsche’s superman. They think laws are for all, but they are a special breed exempted by a discriminating providence. But at last, they have to answer some questions. While he may be bellyaching over why no one made him minister, he may have to address the rumblings in Kaduna State when he was its first citizen.

In an over 5000-word report for the Sunday version of The Nation, I addressed a pile of concerns about how he spent the state’s money. Why did he, barely a month to the end of his tenure, take a loan of N20 billion. Terrible as it was, he tied it to the state’s internally generated revenue. To be fair, he raised the IGR from about N11 billion to about N50 billion a month. So, what did he do with that money, lawmakers and his party members and elders as well as labour unions want to know. He borrowed the N20 billion to pay contractors who performed work under the $350 million loan.

Now, the man has a certain trait we in the Warri waterside of the Niger Delta call gra gra. Or “bol’ face.” The Yoruba call it ogboju. In his novel Nostromo, Joseph Conrad calls it “an adventurer’s easy morality, the bravado of guilt.” That was why he announced in his farewell speech that he was bequeathing a debt of $587 million dollars and N85 billion. He made it appear he was transparent. But he was only being crafty. He did not say he drew down all the $350 million loan in 2021, whereas the job has not been completed. Not being completed, the contractors confronted the new man in the saddle, Governor Uba Sani with a certificate of completion that el Rufai gave them, and they are demanding N115 billion. That money was part of the $350 million. According to a top lawmaker, the figure is conservative and the money is about N120 billion.

The project was for urban renewal. A source told me that the work yet undone amounts to another N160 billion. So, what did Mallam do with the money?

Governor Sani held a townhall meeting to lay bare his frustrations. The el Rufai camp says it is all politics. Indeed, it is. They wouldn’t respond to my queries, though. But what sort of politics is it? Is it that the former governor is trying to beguile his people by claiming he is the good guy while the man in the saddle who inherits this is the bad guy?

There is a lot he has to account for. He has a friend called Jimi Lawal. Jimi Who? A former banker with a familiar pedigree… The same man he wanted to partner when fate tantalized him with power minister. But this man has been accused by members of the new exco of having served as head of economic council with commissioners serving under him and, contrary to law, making the governor endorse its recommendations.

El Rufai wanted, for his power project, to corral a 215 megawatts plant that Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN spurned as minister. He took a CBN loan of about N8.5 billion, and picked up a used plant from Dubai. Lawal was part of the deal using his special purpose vehicle (SPV) called Skipper, an Indian firm. With only N1 billion investments, Skipper owns 52 percent while Kaduna with over 80 percent of the money has 48 percent. How come? There is still no power from that plant in Kaduna.

Again, he obtained a $26 million Indian Exim Bank loan to partner with a food firm to build a ranch to trap nomads on about 2,000 acre land. Arla Foods, a European firm, was to milk the cows for dairy products. There is no cow, no nomads, no $26 million, and no Arla. But there is Skipper, a company known for transformer, was also involved here. What of the $51m loan to build a 300-bed hospital now abandoned? The inexcusable thing was that he secured a moratorium on all the loans until he left office.

So this is the task before Mallam. He has given another Sani, his foe and nemesis, Shehu Sani a reason to gloat. He now says he is vindicated because, as senator, he railed against it. His son, Mohammed Bello, who is a member of the House of Representatives, would not say anything about the questions I asked. Give it to Bello, he lacks the father’s impetuosity and unguard diction. He will be a better politician. For now, he is caught between Governor Uba Sani, who he calls his boss, and his father the former governor.

But his brother tweeted a nasty line about the governor. Bello restrained him. There is sibling tension, but oedipal harmony bustles between father and sons.

The last has not been heard about this. From the lawmakers I spoke with, the matter may be escalated into a more formal inquiry, although the governor is restraining them. How long that will last remains to be seen.

Governor Sani came out when NLC and TUC threatened to down tools. He would none of that. For his part, he says no new vehicles for himself and officials for now. He abolished N800k el Rufai added to political appointees while restoring a N500 million revolving loan for workers first introduced by Governor Ahmed Makarfi.

We want audacity, not bravado, from el Rufai in answering the queries. Rather than pursue a charade about security report, he should report to his people who he misgoverned about how he managed their money. By the way, what of the N3.5 billion loan he obtained to buy gadgets? Maybe no bandits would have taken students on a desert trek if those gadgets were in state’s armory.

But he could act like Prophet Samuel in the Bible who laid bare the accounts and asked anyone who had anything to say about any misconduct to say so. He came to equity with a holy hand. Let Mallam do same.

Mass abduction: Governor Sani worried over rising number of informants

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani yesterday convened an emergency meeting with heads of security agencies and stakeholders from the frontline communities in Kaduna Central.

The resurgence of banditry and kidnapping dominated talks at the parley, which was attended by stakeholders from seven local governments of Chikun, Birnin Gwari, Kajuru, Igabi, Kachia, and Kagarko local government areas.

The governor, who said efforts were being made to rescue the 287 schoolchildren abducted from Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area, expressed concerns about the rising number of informants in the communities, pledging efforts to identify and apprehend them.

Also yesterday, the House of Assembly member representing the Kajuru Constituency, Usman Danlami Stingo, told reporters that members of the communities affected by the recent attacks have been traumatized and economically impoverished.

The governor told his audience that had assurances from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, during his meetings with them that the abducted school pupils will all be rescued safely.

He, however, urged local government chairmen and traditional rulers to report any strange face in their community to security agencies to curb infiltration by informants and other people with dastard intentions.

Sani said: “I have series of discussions with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and the service chiefs, they have done so much. Lots of progress have been made, and I can assure you that our children will return back home safely.

“We will continue to fight until we get our children back. At the end of this meeting, we will have enough information, idea and strategy to work together. We would do everything to assist the security agencies in protecting our citizens. We are working to ensure their safe release.”

“We are here this afternoon to have a meeting which would be interactive between Kaduna state government, local government chairmen, security heads, traditional rulers, and members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly from the seven local governments affected by the incident of insecurity in the last few weeks. We are here to look at the efforts towards intelligence gathering and sharing especially at the grassroots level.

“In the last six months, we have been having meetings which showed that we have enough synergy between state, local government, traditional rulers and security heads.

“This is to support the security agencies in the state towards intelligence gathering and sharing. We have some setbacks in the last few weeks. The Local government chairmen and Kaduna state House of Assembly members, we have to look at other areas especially the incident in Kajuru local government area with series of incidents within 48 hours.

“We have people within the community who should have alerted the security agencies when the first incident happened before the second incident.

“We believe that the traditional rulers have important roles to play in monitoring the community and they should have enough knowledge of their subjects to raise the alarm over anything that is strange. They should fish out strange individuals and report them to security agencies.”

He added: “We realised in this meeting that, there are a lot of complaints about some disgruntling elements that are penetrating some communities.

“The issue of security is pertinent to everyone and we believe traditional rulers have massive responsibility in assisting the security agencies and particularly ensuring that all the strangers that come into the communities are identified.

“We are suspecting that some of them are informants and today I have instructed the traditional rulers and the local government chairmen to fish out most of these strange individuals and report to the security agencies immediately. It will go a long way in enhancing security efforts and also deepening our intelligence gathering and sharing information.

“I have also instructed the Local Government chairmen to go back to their local governments and stay there and also report to us any suspicious movement.

“We also discussed the progress we have made so far and I can say here, most of the children in Kuriga community, we are having a lot of interface with the parents in the community.

“Yesterday, the IG deployed some mobile policeman to Kuriga community, we are making progress and we are also having a lot of support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the service Chiefs are also trying. So it’s only a matter of time.”
