The Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Hajji Liameed Gafar was among the 27 distinguished personalities rewarded for their outstanding contributions in sports by a renowned Lagos-based football academy, Paddysco Sports.
The Paddysco Sports Talent Showcase and Awards, which is in its second edition, was held at the Garden Top Hotel in Festac, Lagos.

The Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Paddysco Sports Academy, Peter Okereke, said the award was organised to encourage this group of administrators, parents, and individuals who have contributed positively to the growth of sports, social, and community development in Nigeria, to do more.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what we have in the offing. This event celebrates the unsung heroes who have made significant contributions to sports, social, and community development. We celebrate their achievements, dedication, and passion for creating a better future for our community. I ventured into this with the mindset to promote grassroots sports, and I’m glad it’s yielding results capable of promoting the image of the country,” Okereke said.
