CHAN 2025: Uzondu promises maximum points against Sudan

Home-Based Eagles defender Harrison Uzondu has provided an assurance that the Nigerian B-squad will not lose their second group game at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN 2024), as he promised that they will all give 100% effort on the clash with Sudan.

Sports247 reports that many Nigerian football followers are still scolding the CHAN Eagles for their shoddy performance against Senegal in their first group match, which they lost 1-0, but Uzondu stressed it will be a better outing by them this Tuesday at the same venue.

The Ikorodu City FC of Lagos left-back, who can also play in central defence, acknowledged that once the home-based players step up their efforts, they would surely get a better result against the Sudanese.

“Our coming out for the next game will be 100% effort,” declared the smooth-talking defender, who played 22 minutes of the clash with Senegal.

“With that, I believe we will definitely end up with something good. We hope to improve on what we did in the first game.”

CHAN Eagles must win Tuesday’s fixture in the Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar to stand any chance of qualifying for the knock-out stage of the ongoing championship.
