    The collaboration is centred around Henkel’s Got2B brand, which is known for promoting self-expression and confidence.

    This partnership showcases Henkel Nigeria’s commitment to inspiring people to embrace their uniqueness, particularly through the Got2B hair styling line.

    With its bold tagline, “For whoever you want to be,” the brand encourages consumers to express their identities fearlessly.

    Rajat Kapur, Managing Director of Henkel Nigeria, emphasized the shared vision of both companies in fostering self-expression and creativity.

    He said: “We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Silverbird Group. It reflects our joint commitment to empowering Nigerians, especially through creative self-expression.     As part of the collaboration, Henkel Nigeria introduced Paula Ezendu, a prominent influencer, and co-creator, as a key ambassador for the Got2B brand. Kapur noted,

    Henkel Nigeria celebrates next generation’s scientists

    Henkel Nigeria, a subsidiary of the renowned German multinational company, Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, has reinstated its commitment to promoting scientific and educational development by engaging pupils of Progressive Primary School, Oyewole, Agege, Lagos.

    The event was facilitated by Henkel’s partner NGO; Girls and Women Technological Empowerment Organization (GWTEO).

    The managing director of Henkel Nigeria, Rajat Kapur, emphasised its dedication to inspiring the next generation and fostering a love for science and education.

    Rajat noted: “We are proud to play a role in inspiring the next generation of researchers and fostering a passion for science. Our ‘Researchers’ World’ initiative reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.”

    In her remarks, the coordinator of Girls and Women Technological Empowerment Organisation (GWTEO), Yinka Atoba highlighted the significant impact of empowering children and fostering a love for science and technology.

    She said:  “The “Researchers’ World” initiative has been very instrumental in providing children with hands-on science experiments, promoting critical thinking and creativity.

    Since the Researchers’ World initiative commenced in November 2021, over 1000 pupils have been impacted in several Primary schools in Lagos and Ibadan, Nigeria.

    Henkel Nigeria, the leading manufacturer behind popular brands like WAW and Nittol detergents, has addressed the current economic climate and outlined its plans for sustained business growth in Nigeria. Acknowledging difficulties presented by currency fluctuations, inflation  and foreign exchange shortages, Henkel Nigeria remains committed to the market in Nigeria.

    “We are committed to navigating the economic climate in Nigeria. We plan to achieve this by continuing to focus on three key areas: sourcing raw materials locally, bringing high-quality and innovative products to Nigerians, and accelerating digital transformation” said Rajat Kapur, Managing Director and Chairman of Henkel Nigeria.

    The Managing Director of Henkel Nigeria highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability through impactful programs like Researchers’ World (“Forscherwelt”) educational science workshops and the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) initiative which equips unemployed youth with entrepreneurial skills.

     He also mentioned that while the company has achieved most of its 2022 goals despite COVID-19 disruptions, recent economic volatility has caused some delays, but Henkel Nigeria remains confident in catching up.

     “We were practically on time for the past eight years and while there have been setbacks recently, we’re hopeful our measures will get us back on track,” he added.
