  • Hubmart holds raffle draw

    Hubmart stores is holding another raffle draws in its Awoof promo tomorrow at the Ikeja GRA store, Vice President Marketing of the retail chain, Cheng Fuller has said.

    In a statement, the firm said the draw which is the second of three scheduled raffle draws, will see new sets of loyal customers’ win shopping vouchers and freebies.

    According to him, over N3.5 million has been set aside for the winners that will emerge tomorrow.

    He said the retail chain is pleased with the massive participation of her teeming customers in all Hubmart activations.

    He said: “We were pleased with the customer’s participation in our Awoof promotions but even more pleasantly surprised at the massive turnout we experienced during the just concluded Black Friday promotions.

    “Following the black Friday sales and in a bid to further spread the spirit of celebration and goodwill among its customers this Christmas, Hubmart stores would be having her first ever Orange Friday Fiesta, a customer driven initiative which would eclipse the just concluded and hugely successful black Friday sales promotion.

    “The Orange Friday Fiesta, which has been scheduled to commence on December 14  will see Hubmart offer customers bumper flash discounts on electronics, alcoholic beverages, fresh produce, groceries as well as lots of other surprises.”

     

  • Hubmart rewards customers with N3.9m

    It was naira rain at Hubmart Stores when the chain store gave N3.9million during its first Awoof Promo Draw, as part of its customer loyalty programme.

    Celebrity guest and music diva, Onyeka Onwenu informed winners on their mobile phones.

    Among the winners were Ola, Sowa, Frank, Samol, Dike Emmanuel, Ujam Kenechukwu, Emeka, Lolita, Ogbu, Friday Akpabio, Taiwo, Yvonne, Beatrice, Temitope and Akash.

    Customers qualified for the draw in regular and platinum categories, by buying goods worth N3, 500 or N5, 000.

    Ola, who shops at Hubmart Lekki branch, won N250,000, while Frank and Samol won N100,000 each. Dike Emmanuel, Ujam Kenechukwu, Temitope, Akash and Patrick won N50,000 each.

    One of the lucky winners, Ene, who won N100,000, when called on her mobile phone, expressed joy,  saying she had never won anything.

    There were also other prizes, which were won across the three branches, bringing total amount to N3.9 million.

    Hubmart Stores’s Managing Director Murat Bektaslar said the  draw was aimed at rewarding  the firm’s customers.

    Bektaslar, who said the promo  was also about the new season, said they were also using it to celebrate their third anniversary.He said the draw had been transparent as it was supervised by the National Lottery Regulatory Commission.

    The Hubmart chief added: “The end of the year is usually more relaxed and there is more celebration because there are lots to celebrate. There is Christmas and the New Year. For us, the last part of the year is the most critical and important part. The customers are feeling better because throughout the year they feel stress because of that we have been working hard.

    “The Hubmart Awoof Promotion is an ongoing activity and as long as people shop, they’ll have chance to win more. We have two types of tickets, regular and the platinum ticket. The difference between the regular and platinum ticket is that the reward is different. Every month, we will have at least 66 raffle draw winners and will be giving out several other consolation prizes.

    “There is also a special discount promo where customers get a rebate of five per cent on their shopping depending on their frequency of shopping so look out for the discount coupons.  In our tradition of delighting our customers, we are ensuring that during this promotion, everyone will be a winner,” he added.

    Hubmart Stores is set to delight its loyal customers once again with its first raffle draw in a series of three slated for 12 noon tomorrow and Sunday, November 3rd, at the Hubmart Stores Ikeja outlet, 26 Isaac John Street, Ikeja G.R.A.

    The draw, which is part of the ongoing Hubmart Awoof Promotion, will see Hubmart Stores give out prizes worth up to N3.5million free shopping in addition to other instant and consolation prizes to its loyal customers.

    Chief Executive Officer of Hubmart Stores Limited, Murat Bektaslar in a statement, said the raffle draw is part of its bid to provide superior customer shopping experience.

    According to him, the promotion is also one of the ways in which Hubmart was looking to give back to customers, who had supported its growth over the years.

    He said :“We have come a long way from one outlet in Victoria Island to three outlets which will soon become four,  with Omole coming on stream this quarter. We take pride in our capabilities in fresh and our acceptance by our teeming customers is testament to the good work we have done. The Hubmart Awoof Promotion is a small way of telling our customers, thank you.”

    Vice President, Marketing, Cheng Fuller, said for customers to be part of the Hubmart Awoof Promotion raffle draw, they would need to make minimum purchases of N3, 500 or N5, 000 to qualify in different categories. He said Hubmart Stores Limited was looking to give prizes in excess of a whopping sum of N10million during the promotion. Mr. Fuller further said there would be draws every month where customers would win prizes worth up to N3.5million.

    Hubmart’s Managing Director, Mr Murat Bekhtaslar, said at the inauguration  that the objective of the brand is to be accessible to Nigerians.

    He said Hubmart is a Nigerian brand that its customer-centric.

    “We believe we are the ultimate service provider to our customers as they are utmost in our minds in whatever we do,” he said.

    Murat highlighted the importance of Hubmart’s activities and its contribution to growth. “With each outlet, we significantly increase the number of people gainfully employed, of vendors within our system and those who offer support services.

    ‘’The multiplier effect of this definitely impacts positively on the earnings of our people and, in turn, economic growth,” he said.

    He explained that in the new retail outlet, Hubmart emphasises  equipment, products, and its principal goal of delivering fresh products to its consumers.

    He said: “We are convinced that we are the leaders in fresh products as we leave no stone unturned technologically and otherwise to ensure our products get to our customers fresh.”

    Muratsaid plans were afoot to open other outlets within the Lekki axis and three more malls before the year runs out.

  • Hubmart inaugurates Lennox Mall

    Following on the heels of her successful launch of its Ikeja Mall, indigenous retail outlet – Hubmart stores limited, will today inaugurate a new outlet in the Lennox Mall, beside The Place, Lekki.

    The Mall is purposefully designed to create an environment guaranteed to give customers a comprehensive shopping experience and further enhance the brand’s reputation as one of the best destinations for shoppers in the country.

    The Managing Director of Hubmart, Mr. Murat Bektaslar, said that the Lennox Mall brings to three stores in its chain of business. He noted that that the success recorded from patronage of its other outlets in Victoria Island and Ikeja is a testament to the fact that its customers have wholly embraced all its offerings.

    Leading indigenous retail giant Hubmarts stores Limited,     opened the doors of its ultra modern Ikeja GRA Shopping mall to the public, last Friday.

    The event, which witnessed a large turnout of brands who came to showcase their wares, also saw a huge number of customers throng into the mall to experience firsthand, the many offerings the new Hubmart store has to offer.

    Most customers also admitted that they were also there to take advantage of the exciting opening day specials on offer at the store.

    Chairman of Hubmart Stores Limited Dr Chris Ogbeche, in his opening address, stated that the vision of Hubmart stores is to be the clear leader in the retail industry.

    In his words, “we have a population of over 180 million people who want the good things of life and we are here to make that possible.’

    He further said that Hubmart’s penchant for always delivering fresh products to its customers is a mark of distinction that sets it apart from other retail stores. “We are known for fresh products. I think we are the leader in fresh products ranging from vegetables, fruits, seafood, and dairy food all at attractive prices. We have been able to maintain this standard because over 50 percent of our business is not reliant on foreign exchange.     The space in the shopping mall sub-sector of the property industry has continued to experience a boom, notwithstanding the lull in the built environment. Last weekend, there was another addition to the sub-sector with the inauguration of a shopping mall, Hubmart Stores, Ikeja, Lagos. This brings to two the number of Hubmart stores in the state – one is on Victoria Island.

    The new outlet, located in the heart of the Ikeja G.R.A., has been described by shoppers and architects as a “masterpiece of retail-purposed civil engineering, exquisitely designed to give customers the ultimate shopping experience and set to take shopping to a whole new level.”

    He explained that more additions to its services will come introduced based on feedback received from its customers. One of such feedbacks, Fuller revealed, led to the inclusion of the “Kiddies corner”.

    The store, Fuller said, would provide employment to over 150 Nigerians, 60 per cent of whom would be sourced from the local community. Besides, the firm plans to introduce a retail academy where trainings of skilled personnel in retail service will be carried out., as well as addressing local production capacity in the retail sector.

    “Manufacturing and local production are major challenges to the growth of the retail sector. We should encourage local manufacturers to produce more so that retailers can reduce importation,” Fuller said.
