    Obanikoro honoured as Ilera Eko champion

    Ilera Eko team of Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) has recognised Senior Special Assistant of Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO), Ibrahim Obanikoro, for his support of the state’s health insurance initiative.

    The recognition took place during a visit by LASHMA Ilera Eko team to Obanikoro’s office at the Parastatals Monitoring Office, Alausa.

    He was decorated with a double title of Ilera Eko Champion and Enforcement Officer, in acknowledgement of his contributions to advancing objectives of the scheme.

    Obanikoro described the honour as a call to greater responsibility, stressing importance of preventive healthcare, financial protection, and collective action in safeguarding public health, particularly in the face of rising medical costs.

    He lauded the agency for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and programmes that promote universal health coverage and enhance the well-being of Lagosians.

    Ilera Eko is Lagos State’s health insurance programme aimed at ensuring that residents access affordable and quality healthcare services, while reducing the burden of out-of-pocket medical expenses.

    Obanikoro lauds LASACO Assurance MD’s vision

    Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Parastatals Monitoring, Ibrahim Obanikoro, has lauded Managing Director of LASACO Assurance Plc, Ademoye Shobo, on his vision for the company.

    Obanikoro spoke when he received Shobo and his team on a visit to the Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO).

    Shobo outlined his vision, long-term goals, and strategic plans to improve LASACO ’s performance and profitability.

    He shared insight into the firm’s financial standing and reaffirmed its commitment to international best practice.

    Obanikoro lauded Shobo for his forward-looking leadership, saying it is driving sustainable growth and strengthening corporate governance in state-owned enterprises.

    He appreciated LASACO management for the visit and assured them of the PMO’s support as they work towards achieving their objectives.

    Obanikoro’s electoral bid gets backing

    As part of his consultations to represent Lagos Island Constituency I in National Assembly, Ibrahim Obanikoro, has engaged with Idoluwo Community, his ancestral home, in a symbolic town hall meeting.

    The engagement, at the heart of Idoluwo, saw Obanikoro share his vision and aspirations with his people, an exercise he said is deeply personal.

    Addressing residents in front of his family home, Obanikoro lauded the warmth, unity and encouragement he received, noting that the experience reaffirmed his sense of responsibility and commitment to service.

    He was moved by the show of support from the community, acknowledging the role played by the elders for their counsel, the women for their display of love, and youths for their steadfast backing.

    According to him, the faces before him served as a reminder of the trust reposed in his leadership and the imperative not to disappoint his people.

    Reaffirming his bond with the people, Obanikoro described unity as the bedrock of progress, declaring: “Idoluwo Community: Together we stand,” while hoping the future of Lagos Island, adding, “Joy is coming.”

    The consultation forms part of Obanikoro’s broader grassroots engagements in Lagos Island Constituency I as he continues to build consensus and mobilise support among his people.
