    Hapoel Haifa battle Bnei Yehuda for Ikande

    Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed by a representative of Harmony Ikande that the central midfielder will not be joining Israeli Premier League club, Bnei Yehuda, despite interest from the Lions.

    The former Flying Eagles star is presently in Yehuda, where he is rooming with former FC Midtjylland striker Jude Nworuh, who shares the same intermediary with him.

    Harmony Ikande will make the 53 – mile journey from Tel Aviv to Haifa on Monday to begin negotiations with Hapoel Haifa, ahead of a possible switch in the January transfer window.

    Hapoel Haifa sit eighth in the Premier League standings after 18 games with 21 points in the kitty.

    Bnei Yehuda have now turned their attention to a Gambian player following the snub by Harmony Ikande.

    Nigerian midfielder Harmony Ikande has said he is disappointed his new Bosnian club FK Sarajevo crashed out of the UEFA Champions League with he not able to feature due to late completion of his paperwork.

    The former Hapoel Tel Aviv player missed both legs in the Champions league qualifying round due to documentation issue which is sorted out now.

    Ikande has now told AfricanFootball.com he wants to win the league in Bosnia as well as gets another chance to showcase his talent in the Champions League.

    “In games of that magnitude, there must be a winner and a loser, but not withstanding there is always a next time,” he said.

    “Though one of my major targets here was to play in the Champions League and win the local league, I could not feature in the Champions League because my registration papers were not complete.

    “Hopefully, we will win the league which will enable us play in the next Champions League.

    “And I also hope the new Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh will watch the league here for me to be considered for his team.”

    He has played for AC Milan (Italy), Honved (Hungary), Extremadura UD (Serbia), Horvela (Ukraine), Beitar Jerusalem, Hapoel Ashkelon and Hapoel Tel Aviv (All in Israel).

    Former Nigeria U-20 star Harmony Ikande has signed a year’s deal with Bosnian club FC Sarajevo after a successful trial. He has been assigned jersey number 70.

    A close confidant of the player told AfricanFootball.com that the player impressed during the trials and so sealed the deal.

    “Ikande has signed a year’s deal with FC Sarajevo. He impressed during the trials and the deal is sealed,” the source told AfticanFootball.com.

    Ikande featured for Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup  in Egypt in 2009. He played for AC Milan, Budapest Honved (Hungary), Baiter Jerusalem, Hapoel Ashkelon and Hapoel Tel Aviv (Israel).

    Former Nigeria youth – teamer Harmony Ikande made his official debut for Hapoel Tel Aviv as the capital team drew goalless with Hapoel Raanana in the Toto Cup on Wednesday evening.

    The midfielder, who was acquired as a free agent, was on parade at the Bloomfield Stadium for 90 minutes.

    Hapoel Raanana talisman in attack, Anthony Nwakaeme, also started and completed the tie watched by approximately 3,000 spectators.

    23 – year – old Harmony Ikande penned a one – season deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv at the start of this month.

    The Reds next two fixtures in the Toto Cup are against Maccabi Netanya and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
