    Rapper Ikechukwu Onunaku has narrated his fall-out situation with close friend and colleague, Naeto C.

    He said they had a falling out about his relationship with D’Banj and claims against him by Naeto C on music business and managerial aspects.

    Ikechukwu, speaking during a live Instagram discussion with media personality Daddy Freeze, stated that he was accused of following D’Banj but he emphasised that he was only interested in their money.

    He said: “Naeto and I had a big fallout in London. He was vexing me that ‘I was following D’Banj’ but I was not following D’Banj, I was following our money.

    “Meanwhile, Naeto fought me for that in  London, after that incident, me and Naeto, we no talk for a while. Me and Naeto don’t even speak right now, and we were good not too long ago.”

    Rapper Ikechukwu Onunaku confirms marriage crash with wife

    Nollywood actor and rapper, Ikechukwu Onunaku has officially announced his separation from his wife.

    Ikechukwu, who married his fiancée, Ella, in May 2021, confirmed the news during a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze.

    Citing irreconcilable differences, the former Mohits Records rapper explained that despite his efforts to salvage the marriage, he could no longer tolerate his wife’s behaviour.

    He said: “My wife and I are no longer together. We separated due to irreconcilable differences. It wasn’t over infidelity. There was too much gaslighting, too much looking for faults, and too much listening to outsiders.

    “I tried to save our marriage but I got to a point where I couldn’t tolerate my ex-wife’s excesses anymore and I showed her my other side and we couldn’t bear it.”

    We were used, betrayed – Rapper Ikechukwu speaks amid Grammy loss

    Following the results of the 66th Grammy Awards were revealed, Rapper Ikechukwu, posted a video on social media expressing his discontent.

    In the video, he accused the Recording Academy of exploiting and betraying Nigerians.

    Ikechukwu claimed that Afrobeats was utilized for its publicity value, enhancing the appeal of the Grammy Awards this year.

    However, in return, Nigerians received nothing, feeling betrayed by the outcome of the awards, which favoured other recipients.

    “We should stop sending in submissions and create our own award: “Ikechukwu said as he called on Nigerian artists to stop sending in their songs for Grammy consideration.

    “They took all of us over there, used us, and betrayed us,” Ikechukwu said as he accused the Grammys of attempting to compartmentalize Afrobeats.

    The Nation reported that Davido’s ‘Unavailable’, Asake & Olamide’s ‘Amapiano’, Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’, and Burna Boy’s ‘City Boy’ lost the Best African Music performance category to Tyla’s ‘Water’.

    Davido’s ‘Feel’ and Burna Boy’s ‘Alone’ lost the Best Global Music Performance to ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia. Davido’s ‘Timeless’ and Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them’ also lost the Best Global Album to Shakti’s ‘The Moment’.
