    Association to inaugurate new executives

    An Ekiti State community focused socio-development association association, Ikoro Progressive Association (IPA) is set to inaugurate a new set of national executives.

    According to a statement by the Association’s inauguration planning committee, “the new set of officers who were elected on August 28th this year will take the oath of office on October 12th for a constitutional term of three years.”

    “Meanwhile, it is good to note that this is the first time in the history of the over five decade-old Association that the national executives would be elected via a relatively obvious campaign exercise and keenly contested election.  

    “It was indeed a demonstration of the beginning of a new prosperous chapter while the enduring legacies of the founding fathers remain unabated,” he statement said.

    Ikoro Progressive Association (IPA) is the umbrella body of all Ikoro-Ekiti, the headquarters of Eso Obe LCDA, Ekiti State’s sons and daughters at home and in the Diaspora.

    The new leader of the Association, the National President, Taiwo Akanbi is a renowned Chartered Accountant, successful entrepreneur and notable business man.  

    The Managing Partner, Akanbi Isola Taiwo & Co (Chartered Accountants & Tax Practitioners) and MD/CEO, Dalident Chemicals Limited (manufacturers of printing inks and paints) belongs to a number of professional bodies which include Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

    The inauguration ceremony of the new 14- member National Executives will also feature the official investiture of the Association’s grand patrons and patrons.  

    These include the traditional paramount ruler of the community, the Olukoro of Ikoro-Ekiti; HRM, Oba Adebanji Adeleye.
