Indomie Fan Club marks 20th anniversary

The Indomie Fan Club has celebrated its 20th anniversary. The event which coincided with the 2025 Children’s Day celebration was hosted by Dufil Prima Foods.

It featured a full-blown carnival, parades, music, games, performances,  a  symbolic walk and a vibrant parade of children, educators, and organisers marching from Dufil Prima’s headquarters on Eric Moore Road to the National Theatre in Iganmu, Surulere, Lagos.

The highlight of the day was the premiere of the Indomie Fan Club’s 20th Anniversary Documentary and theme song, a touching visual tribute to the club’s mission and milestones.

Special guest of honour, First Lady of Lagos State, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, lauded Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Noodles, for its unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation through the Indomie Fan Club (IFC).

She  noted that the club had stood as a transformative platform dedicated to shaping young minds across Nigeria. She praised its wide-reaching and impactful programmes, which have empowered countless children, instilling values, building confidence, and fostering leadership, ultimately contributing meaningfully to the growth of communities and the development of future leaders.

Group General Manager, Corporate Communications and  Events at Dufil Prima Foods, Temitope Ashiwaju said the club has not just entertained children, it has empowered them, socially, mentally, emotionally.

The Club’s National Coordinator, Karishma Rustagi said: “The smiles we see today tell the story of two decades of love and learning. This documentary is a tribute to all the lives we’ve touched, and a challenge to reach even more with imagination and impact.”

Since its inception in 2005, the Indomie Fan Club has grown to become Nigeria’s largest child-focused engagement platform, running programs that include school excursions, talent contests, reading challenges, health campaigns, and more, all “flavoured with fun and served with purpose.”

Teachers and school owners who have worked with the platform for years also shared how the Club has improved classroom dynamics, increased school visibility, and helped nurture a more engaged student body.

As the sun dipped behind the Lagos skyline and children clutched balloons, gift packs, and bowls of their favourite noodles, there was a sense that something bigger than a party had taken place.

It was a celebration of identity, a reinforcement of values, and a warm, spicy bowl of belonging served in true Indomie style.

The event was as much about the past as it was about the future. Children danced, sang, played, and interacted with costumed mascots, while past members returned to share how the Fan Club had shaped their lives.

For a generation raised on stories, smiles, and noodles, the 2025 Children’s Day celebration wasn’t just a moment, it was a memory. And as Indomie Fan Club embarks on its next 20 years, one thing remains certain: the journey has only just begun.ie
