Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen on Tuesday announced the appointment of Isiaka Ayokunle Ibrahim (APC, Ogun) as the new deputy chief of the House.
Isiaka takes over from the late Oriyomi Onanuga also from Ogun state who died recently.

Announcing the appointment, Speaker Abbas said Isiaka was picked for the position by the leadership of the House after extensive consultation with the leadership of the party as well as the South West Caucus in the House.
He charged the new Deputy Whip to uphold the integrity of the office by discharging his responsibility diligently and with the highest professional standard.
Isiaka, who represents the Ifo/Ewekoro federal constituency of Ogun state, is a third-term member of the House.
