The trio of Nancy Isime, Rahama Sadau and Richard Ato Turkson are to host the 19th Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
The year’s edition is themed Renaissance: Legacy in motion.
AMAA Chief Operating Officer, Tony Anih, broke the news after a meeting with the board of the Africa Film Academy, owners and producers of AMA Awards.
Anih said: “Our charismatic hosts for AMAA 2023 are Rahama Sadau, Richard Ato Turkson, and Nancy Isime. Get ready to be charmed, entertained, and dazzled on October 29, 2023! The stage is set for a night of cinematic excellence.”
The announcement is coming after AMAA hosted film practitioners in Accra, Ghana.

Already, the hosts have expressed delight at the opportunity to steer the ceremony scheduled for for Lagos Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja.
Isime said: “I am absolutely looking forward to hosting the AMAAs on October 29. Hoping to see everyone there as it promises to be an unforgettable evening.”
Sadau said: “I am super excited and can’t wait to host the 2023 AMAA.”
Turkson said he looked forward to hosting the continental film awards.
The year’s edition of the AMAA is in line with the strategic partnership which the board of AMAA and the Lagos State Government got into in 2021 before the death of the founder, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe.
