  • Stanbic IBTC Pensions, others get ISO certifications

    Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited and Stanbic IBTC Trustees Limited, all members of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, have received ISO 9001:2015 Certifications.

    In a statement, Stanbic IBTC said the certification ihighly regarded globally.

    It stated that the Lead Auditor, DQS Management Nigeria Limited, a leading global certification body for quality management systems and organisational health, Mr. Lawrence Ogudu, while presenting the awards in Lagos, affirmed that the three firms met the certifications’ requirements.

    Ogudu listedd these to include   the ability to provide products and services that meet customer, statutory and regulatory requirements.

    According to him, it also involves the enhancement of customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory obligations.

    He said the certification is simply a message to customers and prospects that the businesses have the capacity, are committed and sincere in their product and service delivery.

    The certification, amongst its many benefits, will enable the three businesses to serve their customers at the right level of quality and ensure zero variability in the delivery of services across the various digital and non-digital touch points, all of which enhances customer experience and relationships with the businesses, he noted.

    Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited Chief Executive Mr Eric Fajemisin, who spoke on behalf of the subsidiaries, commended the teams for making the certifications possible. He stressed that the requirements of the system would be reviewed and developed for higher performance.

    He said: “Stanbic IBTC is pleased with the ISO 9001:2015 Certifications.’’

    According to the financial institution, it is a clear demonstration of the Stanbic IBTC Group’s drive to improve service delivery in all aspects of its businesses. The group assures that it will continue to build on its existing strengths, including its membership of the Standard Bank Group, Africa’s biggest financial institution, to improve on its service delivery across all segments, customer touch points and channels of operations.

    “The certification, Stanbic IBTC said, will help to benchmark performance by identifying areas that require fixing and improvement. The critical objective is to deliver quality and reliable services through improved internal management and operational processes.”

    “We have long recognised that improvements in our performance, which a robust quality management system assures, are directly connected to quality service and customer satisfaction,” the company added.

  • Inlaks gets ISO certifications

    Atechnology firm, Inlaks Nigeria Limited has received ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 20000:2011 certifications.

    The certifications are in recognition of its role in quality service delivery to its clients.

    Speaking during the presentation of the certificates to the firm in Lagos, its Director, Infrastructure Business Division, Mr Tope Dare, said: “Inlaks has demonstrated its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes  for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.”

    Dare expressed delight that the firm has achieved the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 20000:20 certification for Quality Management System and Information Technology Services Management System.

    “Quality is much more than a certificate. It is about doing the right things in a consistent, repeatable and efficient manner. Achieving ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 20000:20 certifications is testament to our values of excellence and professionalism,” he added.

    In relation to the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT), Dare explained: “We are not only providers of world-class technology solutions to our numerous clients, but we are huge technology consumers ourselves.     He said the ISO Certifications will also promote the development of local content in Nigeria.

    “The certifications will indicate to all our customers that all locally produced solutions and services that Inlaks deliver have gone through a checklist that certifies it to be world class, and they can be accepted in any part of the world as being of high quality,” Dare said.

  • Wema Bank gets ISO certifications from BSI

    Wema Bank gets ISO certifications from BSI

    Wema Bank has been awarded two International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) Certifications by the British Standard Institute (BSI). The BSI is a leading organisation in Audit Management Systems and Processes. The certifications, the bank said, are the world’s highest accreditation for Information Security and Service Management.

    The ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 (IT Service Management System) certification indicates that Wema Bank has designed, developed and established and implemented a template for improved IT services for both its internal and external customers.

    Also, the ISO/IEC 27001:2013, Information Security Management System certification attests to the lender’s commitment to security of both customer and data.

    Speaking on the award of the Certifications, the Head of Programme Management Office of Wema Bank, Mrs. Nike Makanjuola said the feedback from the auditors showed that compared to other banks audited in Nigeria, Wema Bank’s internal processes ranks among the  best in the industry.

    “We will however like to mention that continuous adherence to the processes, policies and procedures put in place during the implementation of the project are critical for us to continuously improve on Information Security and Service Management practices,” she said.

    The certifications are in line with the bank’s value proposition to be an institution of choice in service delivery and superior returns. It is a confirmation of the bank’s commitment to improving its systems and processes with a view to remain competitive, sustain its leadership position and meet the changing demands of different generations of customers.

    The Managing Director, Segun Oloketuyi said this came at a time the bank just secured its National Banking License and it further emphasizes the resolution of the Bank to always abide by its philosophy of service excellence and customer focus across all service points.

    He reiterated the commitment of the bank to continually improve its services using top notch technology for the benefit of its customers, adding that service innovation would continue to be a major component of the bank’s value delivery to its customers.

    Zenith Bank achieves three ISO certifications

    Zenith Bank Plc was yesterday awarded three certifications from British Standards Institution (BSI) for Information Security Management System ISO/IEC 27001:2013, IT Service Management System ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 and Business Continuity Management System, ISO 22301:2012.

    The certificates were presented to the bank’s Chairman, Jim Ovia and the Group Managing Director/CEO, Peter Amamgbo graced by the Deputy British High Commissioner, Mike Purves, top management of the bank and other employees.

    Ovia said the bank’s commitment to these internationally accepted standards, stemmed from its resolve to deepen customer experience through greater information security, an efficient IT management system and a robust business continuity plan, adding that these are targeted at protecting customers and investments in an increasingly unpredictable business environment.

    He said certifications remain strong proof of the lender’s commitment to implementing policies and practices that meet globally recognised principles.

    Amamgbo said the bank is proud to have achieved these milestones, adding that technology is at the core of its business strategy in meeting the needs of its customers.

    “For us, the customer is the reason we are in business, therefore it is essential that we deliver exceptional customer services. Certification to these standards will assist us in doing this,” he said.

    He stated that becoming certified to these three standards, provides evidence in the lender’s efforts to comply with local and international regulations relating to data protection, privacy and IT governance.

    “We hope, implementing ISO/IEC 27001 will give greater confidence to our customers and other stakeholders that the security of assets, such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details and information entrusted to us is protected securely.

    “ISO/IEC 20000-1 acknowledges our high level of efficiency in IT service provision and our ability to continuously improve the delivery of IT services,” he said.
