Family, friends and associates will gather today at the Ado-Ekiti home of Chief J.G.O. Adegbite for his birthday.
The patriarch of the family, who is 85, was pioneer registrar of Ekiti State University (old Ondo State University).
Adegbite, a man of wisdom and distinction, is a respected community leader and seasoned public servant, who left a mark in administration, earning admiration for his dedication, discipline and integrity.

A statement by the family yesterday, said: “To honour this significant milestone, family, friends, and well-wishers will gather today at his home in GRA., Ado-Ekiti, for a celebration of his life and legacy.
“We thank God for his life and pray for continued health, joy, and peace ahead”.
The statement said a prayer session will hold to celebrate the disciplinarian.
