    MUSIC producer, Chris Alvin Sunday, aka Krizbeatz, has revealed that hip hop act Jahbless spurred him on to believe in himself. He disclosed this in a chat with The Nation.

    Having worked with Drake, Omarion, Wizkid, Tekno, Davido and a host of other acts, Krizbeatz produced the beat of the song ‘Pana’ by Teckno which instantly became a hit song. Relating his journey to stardom, the talented producer said Jahbless told him he would become a notable music producer.

    “While I was in school, Jahbless flew from America to Ibadan,” Krizbeatz said.

    “It was a big thing for me then as the news circulated on the campus. He told me that my sound would take over the world someday. Working with Jahbless made me start believing in myself. While Jahbless gave me the belief, producing Tekno’s Pana in 2016 changed everything for me”.

    Krizbeatz also said there is the need for organisers of award ceremonies to do more research before nominations.

    “For organisers of award ceremonies, I feel that there is need to do more research before nominations. But if an artiste misses out on an award, it means the person needs to work harder”.

    After the success of his last song titled Owambe, E Records signee Jahbless, who recently released his third album, I Am Me, says the album took three years in order to produce something that will be appreciated by fans.

    According to Jahbless, the reason he released it on Nigeria’s Democracy Day is in line with the radical change in the country and the music industry in general.

    He said: “On my own side, I’m trying to make a change too, by producing a deluxe album. Having a relationship with the Alaba Marketers is good, in order to get good trade of your products.”

    I Am Me, has 22-tracks, featuring top acts such as Ice Prince, Oristefemi, Reminisce, Vector, Olamide, CDQ, Lil Kesh, Kiss Daniel and Small Doctor.

    Jahbless warns bloggers over song upload

    NIGERIAN Hip-hop act, Olatunde Owoloye Oluwabukunmi, popularly known as Jahbless, has urged bloggers not to expose his songs to pirates, by uploading them on the sites.

    The singer, who has just released his third studio album title, I am Me, on Democracy Day, said it was wrong to put up the song for free download.

    The Joor Ooh crooner, who sent the warning via his Instagram page said:  ‘Attention: To all bloggers. This message is to call on all bloggers uploading Jahbless’s #Iamme Album” songs on their blogs for free downloads to please STOP.”

    While announcing the places where the album is available for sales, he said, “Negligence to this warning will attract legal sanctions, copyright infringement and gross penalty.”

    The IamMe album is a 22-tracker, featuring Nigerian acts like Olamide, Reminisce, Oristefemi, Ice Prince, Vector, CDQ, Lil Kesh, Kiss Daniel and Small Doctor.

    It will be recalled that during the launch of the album, the artiste made reference to the activities of pirates when he said, “Piracy is a big issue, royalties for artistes is another, even the new trend of online piracy eats us up so fast, so I decided to release the album on the 29th (May Day) because I want it to be significant with the change in the country.”
