Tinubu is Nigeria’s best bet forstability, says Faleke

The Convener of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) and Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance, James Abiodun Faleke, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the country’s strongest hope for stability, economic recovery, and long-term development.

He said the policies and reforms of the Tinubu-led administration since 2023 have positioned the country on a path no previous administration dared to take.

Faleke spoke at the weekend in Abuja during the annual end-of-the-year/Christmas support to the Less Privileged and PBAT supporters.

The event also marked the flag-off of nationwide distribution of rice to members of the group and vulnerable Nigerians, as part of its end-of-year outreach.

Addressing a large crowd of members, Faleke predicted that ahead of the general election in 2027, President Tinubu’s chances of maintaining public support remain high.

The federal lawmaker said this is because his administration has shown the political courage to confront structural problems that have held the country back for decades.

“President Tinubu is not experimenting. He is taking tough decisions and offering real solutions to Nigeria’s problems in ways no other leader has done. The past few years have shown clearly that he (the President) is prepared for the task of rebuilding this nation,” Faleke said.

Reminiscing on the challenges Nigerians faced before the President took office, especially the naira redesign crisis, Faleke said the plots were hatched to frustrate Tinubu’s victory at the polls.

“We went into the election without cash and under enormous pressure. But God’s will prevailed. Despite everything, Tinubu won because Nigerians believed in his vision,” he recalled.

Highlighting some of the life-transforming programmes and policies of the President, the federal lawmaker alluded to the ongoing economic reforms, debt repayments, expanded student funding, increased allocations to states and the establishment of regional development commissions across the six geopolitical zones.

He hailed the President for advancing local government autonomy, stressing that states now receive improved financial flows that engender better grassroots development.

“All these landmark achievements have strengthened his political standing nationwide,” Faleke said.

Flagging off the rice distribution, TSG Director General, Dr. Umar Tanko-Yakasai, assured members of the group that the gesture was not limited to Abuja alone.

He said the distribution would be carried out across all the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Yakasai said Nigeria’s economy has become stable and is on course for full recovery.

The director general cited the fall in commodity prices, clearing foreign debt obligations, expanding access to tertiary education funding, increasing financial allocations to states, establishing regional development commissions across the six geopolitical zones, and strengthening local government autonomy.

“President Tinubu remains the answer to Nigeria’s current challenges. His administration has changed the national narrative and is pursuing real, lasting solutions for Nigerians,” he added.

The TSG leader advised the members of the group to remain supportive of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.

The Director General for Tinubu Campaign Council in 2023 Presidental election, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke has urged Nigerians to prepare to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

Faleke, who is now the national coordinator, Presidential Coalition Council (PCC), council established for the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 said Nigerians should vote for President Tinubu again so that he could consolidate on the commendable far-reaching reforms his administration has embarked upon.

Speaking in Ibadan at the launching of PCC and sensitisation on policies of President Tinubu administration to people of Oyo state, Faleke, who was represented at the event by Hon. Abiodun Mafe, urged party members to continue to win people to APC and spread the gospel of good governance.

The launch of the council and sensitisation initiative was organised and sponsored by Hon Ayotunde Bakare.

He charged party members not to entertained any fears as APC would come out victorious both at national level and in the state.

He however enjoined party members to keep their Permanent Voter’s Card safe, calling on those without PVCs to go and register for it.

Mafe after launching the PCC said other groups would begin to join the council, and presented PCC souvenirs to Hon. Bakare, who organised the event on behalf of Faleke

In his remark, a member of the PCC team from Abuja, Hon. Abdullah Enilolobo said the launch of PCC beginning from Ibadan was strategic as Ibadan controls half of Oyo total votes.

He lauded Hon. Bakare for using his personal resources to organise the launch of PCC and sensitisation of the policies of the Tinubu administration.

While shedding light on the policies of Tinubu administration, Enilolobo said Nigeria could have ceased to exist if President Tinubu did not won the 2023 presidential election.

He reminded people of Oyo State that Nigeria was borrowing to pay salaries and was on the verge of bankruptcy before President Tinubu assumed office.

He added that the removal of fuel subsidy, floating of the naira, and the new tax regime all ensured that the Nigerian economy got back on a sound footing.

Enilolobo said borrowing to pay salaries before 2023 has now increased the national minimum wage, while financial allocations to states and local governments have quadrupled.

He urged members of the party to ready to work together to secure Oyo governorship and presidential elections for APC in 2027.

While thanking the PCC team from Abuja, Hon Bakare expressed delight for their support.

He commended the leadership of Hon James Faleke, saying Faleke was not new to presidential victory as he was the DG for Tinubu Campaign Council in 2023.

Kogi: Arewa Think Tank hails Faleke for not playing politics with insecurity

A northern socio-political group, Arewa Think Tank (ATT), has lauded Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, for his unwavering commitment to the security and development of his home state, Kogi.

The group’s commendation follows Faleke’s recent donation of a brand-new Hilux patrol vehicle to the newly commissioned Smart Police Divisional Headquarters in Ekinrin-Adde, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

In a statement issued by its Convener, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, ATT said the high-tech patrol vehicle was facilitated through the Nigeria Police Trust Fund in collaboration with the Kogi State government to enhance security operations across the state through modern and digital approaches.

Describing Faleke as a patriotic Kogite and exemplary leader, ATT called on other sons and daughters of the state to emulate his dedication to public service and community development.

“Faleke, an indigene of Kogi State, recently donated a brand-new Hilux patrol vehicle to support the operations of the newly commissioned Smart Police Divisional Headquarters in Ekinrin-Adde, Ijumu Local Government Area of the State.

“The high-tech facility was facilitated by the Nigeria Police Trust Fund in its collaboration with the government of Kogi State to ensure security at every corner of the state by modernising and digitising security operations in the State.

“We therefore commend Hon.Faleke for placing security above politics and people’s well-being above personal ambition.

“There is no doubt that Hon. Faleke has played key underground roles in coordinating with security agencies, working quietly but effectively with the State government to ensure lives and property are better protected in Kogi State.

“This is how to lead the people with emphasis on security above politics, patriotism above scheming with the lives of the people.

“We want to appreciate Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, just as we urge Kogi State government to continue to partner with patriotic stakeholders like Hon. James Faleke in its mission to secure every corner of the State and preserve the gains already made in law enforcement and public safety.

“We are of the confidence that Faleke’s latest intervention would significantly strengthen security not only in Ijumu local government area, but across Okunland, Kogi West, and the entire State. This is how to make an impact without playing to the gallery.

“What the people need are verifiable dividends of democracy and interventions that can save lives, not selfish personal interests at the expense of the people.

“We want to use this opportunity to advise the Kogi State government to do close monitoring of the donated vehicle for maximum and beneficial advantages to the people because Faleke is not doing this to protect a personal interest or the investment of his friends. But he is doing it to protect the Kogi people in general”. The statement said.
