    Jamiu Azeez dismisses conversion rumours, defends right to personal choice

    Actor Jamiu Azeez has reacted to rumours suggesting he converted to Christianity, expressing frustration over the intense scrutiny surrounding his personal life.

    In a post shared on his Instagram page, the actor questioned why many Nigerians are deeply invested in his private decisions, asking whether they would be held accountable for the choices he makes.

    Jamiu, who was recently seen attending a church service dressed in a white garment and holding a candle, said the action triggered what he described as “crazy” reactions across social media platforms.

    He noted that he had received numerous critical comments on blogs, particularly on Facebook, as well as direct messages from individuals seeking to attack him online.

    Emphasising his right to personal freedom, the actor said he is at liberty to practise any religion of his choice and that such decisions should not be a source of public controversy.

    “It’s only in Nigeria that people are so bothered about another person’s life.

    Imagine telling a man in his 40s how to live his life. I posted myself in a White Garment on the Cross Over night, and, man, the comments I have been reading in blogs, especially on Facebook, are crãzy. Some even came to my DM to drag me, like bro, you will not be accountable for my life, oo.

    “I can choose to practice any religion, and that should not be anyone’s problem. I never even come out to say I have converted oo. Una wan kpai me. No worry, I go wear Babalowo cloth tomorrow,”  he wrote.

    Actor Jamiu Azeez has expressed gratitude as Opeyemi Aiyeola forgives him for past mistakes.

    Azeez had publicly apologised to Aiyeola earlier this month, acknowledging the pain he caused her.

    Sharing the news on Instagram, Azeez described Aiyeola’s forgiveness as his best gift of 2025.

    He thanked fans, friends, and colleagues who supported him, especially industry seniors who intervened on his behalf.

    Azeez showered praise on Aiyeola, calling her his sister, mother, boss, mentor, and number one fan.

    He wrote, “My sister has forgiven her boy ooooo. This is my best gift of 2025.

    “I want to say a very big thank you to all my fans, friends and colleagues who pleaded on my behalf and a special thank you to my industry fathers and mothers who reached out to plead on my behalf, ese gan modupe oooo ma/sir, oro gbogbo yin ko ni ba je oooo

    “To my dearest sister, mother, boss, mentor, number one fan, cheer leader and favourite of all time, thank you, ma, for forgiving me and also giving ur boy another chance, u are indeed Abiyamo.

    “Ese ti e fi owo otun ba mi wi, ti e tun fi ti osi fa mi mora. May God never leave nor forsake you ma, eo ni ri ohun gbe sonu bikose ibi omo. Thank you so much, Mommaa, ur alaigboran/alagidi boy has learnt his lessons in a very hard way.

    Actor Jamiu Azeez apologises to Opeyemi Aiyeola over past mistakes

    Actor Jamiu Azeez has publicly apologised to his senior colleague, Opeyemi Aiyeola, expressing deep regret for his past actions and seeking forgiveness.

    In a statement on Instagram, Azeez referred to Aiyeola as his mother, sister, confidant, and benefactor, acknowledging the pain he caused her.

    He stated that he is openly apologising for his misdeeds, tearfully recalling the hurt he inflicted on Aiyeola.

    Azeez emphasised Aiyeola’s importance in his life, citing her roles as his second mummy, confidant, and number one fan.

    He expressed missing her and the relationship they shared, asking who would take her place in his life and fulfill various roles she currently fills.

    He wrote, “Opeyemi iyadunni mi atata, my mother, my sister, my confidant, my benefactor, ejika mi, alaanu mi, aunty mi, ore mi. With tears and regrets, I am openly putting this out to apologize for my misdeeds, i can never write my story without your name boldly written, infact your name will appear in every page of my story. I know you love me so much, I know I hurt you deeply and the cut was so deep. But please forgive me for the sake of God, i am that “house” which u built

    “I know that I acted so childish and I am sincerely sorry for everything. If u dont forgive me, who is going to take your place in my life? Who is going to stand as my second mummy on my wedding day? Who is going to scold me when I do something wrong? Who else is going to cheer me up if not you Iyadunni? Who is going to be my number one fan? The truth is “I miss you so much” I miss us. Please forgive me ma, I am so sorry for everything ma”.

    Why police officer asked for my number plate’s receipt, by Actor Jamiu Azeez

    Actor Jamiu Azeez has shared his ‘funny’ encounter with a police officer.

    He revealed on his Instagram story that he was stopped at a police checkpoint and the officer asked him to do ‘weekend’ for him to which he playfully declined, mentioning that he was also seeking someone to do ‘weekend’ for him.

    The response seemed to offend the officer, who then began asking for his driver’s license and car documents.

    According to him, upon realizing that everything was in order and his documents were valid, the officer unexpectedly requested the receipt for his plate number, leaving him speechless and confused.

    He questioned if receipts are now being given for plate numbers.

    He said: “So today, I was stopped at the police checkpoint and the officer asked me to do weekend for me too.

    “Na so Oga change face oo, then he asked me for my document and driver’s license and I gave it to him. After realizing all my documents were valid, Baba asked me for the receipt of my plate number. Abeg Shey Dem dey give receipt for plate number ni.”
