    “Jay Jay Okocha was my hero growing up. I never imagined I’d stand on the same field with him,” shared one participant,Taiwo Salahu “BetKing made that dream come true, and I’ll never forget it.” He added.

    The campaign, while originally designed around a Guinness World Records attempt, shifted its focus toward impact and connection—delivering a brand experience that brought thousands of Nigerians together to relive their love for the beautiful game.     Jay Jay Okocha Stadium wears new look for NNL Super 8

    Ahead of the NNL Super 8 scheduled for July 5th- 12th  in Delta State, one of the venues to be used, the Jay Jay Okocha Stadium Ogwashiukwu is now wearing a new look.

    The arena which is located in the home town of Super Eagles legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha is being given a face-lift.

    The surroundings of the stadium has been cleaned even as other facilities around the stadium are being touched.

    Chairman of the Nigeria  National League Board George Aluo said: ”We are super excited  that the facilities  at the Jay Jay Okocha Stadium Ogwashiukwu have undergone some changes.

    This is in line with the promise made by His Excellency, Governor of Delta State  Rt. Honourable Sheriff Francis Oborevwori that the state will ensure that players and  officials have the best environment to express their  God given talents.”

    Eight teams Crown of Ogbomosho,  Kun khalifat  of Owerri, Doma United FC  of  Gombe, Osun United of Oshogbo, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, Yobe Desert Stars of Damaturu,  Warri Wolves of Warri and  Barau FC of Kano will  trade tackles in what has been  described  as the battle  of titans.

    The teams will be battling for slots to determine the four teams that will be promoted to the Nigerian Premier league.

    “The high standard witnessed during the regular season will be taken to a higher level as teams battle for supremacy, promotion and prestige,” Aluo further assured.

    “ If the  standard  of the regular season was so high, then what lies ahead in the Super 8 promises to be super  fantastic. I urge the fans to troop out to watch the best of Nigerian football.”

    AFCON: Jay Jay Okocha reacts to criticism of nephew Iwobi

    Legendary footballer, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, has reacted to the magnitude of backlash his nephew, Alex Iwobi has received hours after Super Eagles’ defeat to Ivory Coast in the AFCON finals.

    The Nation reported that many Nigerians stormed the player’s social media page, hurling insults and laying blaming him for the loss.

    In response to the onslaught of cyberbullying, Iwobi made the strategic move to clear his Instagram page of all photos and videos.

    Okocha took to his page and wrote: ‘’I pray for my country Nigeria and the people that can only hate and see nothing good in others, when effort counts for nothing, treat people the way you want them to treat you, all we have is this life is each other, we love you @alexanderiwobi and we keep going no matter what they say, the lord is good all the time and we trust that his will be done in our lives amen”.
