    Kennis Music signee, Jaywon, is about to prove critics, who insinuated he could be gay, wrong. The hip hop singer, who has managed to keep his private life secret, is in a sizzling romance with a Benue State-based singer, Imelda J.

    The Nation gathered exclusively that not only are the two singers head-over-heels in love, they are about to tie the knot secretly.

    So serious is the relationship that, Jaywon, who was signed on as PZ ambassador, we gathered, bought a Chrysler automobile for his lady, at the last Yuletide. He has also recorded a single with her, the video of which he personally financed.

    Imelda J, who is popular for her hit single, Bum Bum, we gathered, is an acquaintance of star singer, 2face Idibia, who also hails from Benue State.

    Those who have spotted 2face and Jaywon together would attest that the former has always addressed the latter as in-law.

    KENNIS Music artiste, James Oluwajuwonlo Edahi, alias Jaywon, has confirmed a deal worth several millions of naira with PZ Cool.

    The contract, according to findings, will enable the company to use his hit song, This Year, for promotional purposes.

    “Yes, it is true that I have signed a deal with PZ,” Jaywon said.

    The young artiste, who grew up in Kogi and Kwara States, came into the music industry with a track, File Be. He studied at the Federal Polytechnic Bida for his National Diploma before proceeding to Lagos, where he completed his industrial training.

    He has been nominated for several awards and has won the Nigeria Music Video Award (NMVA) for the Best New Video in 2009.

    For some time now, the File Be crooner is rumoured to be having issues with his record label, Kennis Music headed by Kenny Ogungbe.

    POET, songwriter, singer and music producer, Kenneth Ndubuisi, has released the video of his club banger, Nchoko Nchoko, produced by Young D. Directed by Mr. Frames, the artiste described the song which is already enjoying massive airplay as a banging love tune of a lonely man (Ona emem nchoko nchoko).

    “The song is a single off my forthcoming album titled Icamethru. The video will hit the airwaves as soon as possible. I have done a collaboration with OJB, I have a collaboration with AY.com, I just did one with Jaywon. I am working on one of my single now and I am trying to get somebody that can fit into that kind of music, so I am seriously thinking of featuring Flavour,” he said.

    An afro pop singer, Poetic Ken brings a feel of RnB to bear in the track. To his credit, the artiste has also released other singles off the album including One n Only ft OJB Jezreel, Original Baby ft Jaywon, Ekwerikwe, Nwata Missi and Ikuku Enigwe. An embodiment of different genres of music including gospel, reggae, afrobeat and Highlife, the artiste, who goes by the stage name Poetic Ken, reveals that the anticipated album has about twelve tracks in it

    The Icamethru album is his second effort, his first being Set Time. “Most of the songs there were RnB. After that, a lot of people started talking to me that as an entertainer, it is not right to produce songs to suit my taste. If Nigeria wants to dance, give them that kind of music. It doesn’t take you away from your style. That is what I am bringing with my second album,” the budding artiste states.

    KENNIS music leading act Jaywon seems to have discovered the power of positive confessions in the career of a recording act. This statement comes from the fact that after the release of his prophesy laden track Oduyi, Jaywon seems to be everywhere doing big shows and gracing covers of magazines.

    A few days back, we ran into Jaywon in an Omole Estate studio in Lagos where he had gone to record a new track with Lagos raising rapper Beazy. When we asked what the title of the track will be the two acts wasted no time as they informed us that the song is tagged Maekudi (a word that stands for bureau de change in Hausa). Why such a title we inquired of the two, Jaywon was quick to say, “The truth is this, the world will call you what you call yourself that explains the reason behind the song title”.

    IT was a night of unforgettable fun when Nigerian DJ’s gathered at Club Vegas, Ikeja Lagos to mark the second edition of ‘Nite of Turntable Rave’.
    Hip hop artistes Iyanya, Jaywon, Sound Sultan and others assembled at the popular club to honour Nigerian Disc Jockey Association of Nigeria (DJAN).
    According to the Public Relations Officer of the association, Mr James Roland, the event is aimed at harmonising the DJ’s in Nigeria and stakeholders in the music industry.
     “The event is one of its kind and we want to create an avenue where DJ’s can meet to network. Both old and new DJ’s such as DJ Wackzy from South Africa and DJ Abass from United Kingdom were guests of the association last month. They were inducted into the house”, Mr Roland who is also a prominent DJ with Choice FM said.
    Aside the Kukere crooner, Iyanya who dazzled the DJ’s with his brilliant performance, Kennis Music artiste, Jaywon also thrilled the audience while Sound Sultan lit up the stage with his endearing act.
    Other prominent personalities who grace the event were the President of DJAN, DJ Larry, Vice President, DJ Jimmy Jatt. DJ Gran Master Lee, Mix Master Tee, Funky J and others who are about now itching for the next edition of the event which is coming up soon at Warri, Delta State.
