    If you have a chance to ride a horse in the bowels of one of the flower girls of high society, Jennifer Obayuwana, at the moment, it is unlikely that you would miss a step. After years of her reign as one of the most colourful bachelorettes on the Nigerian social scene, the daughter of Polo boss and billionaire businessman, John Obayuwana, has finally located her missing half.

    On December 31 last year, the true definition of ‘classy engagement’ found expression as her boyfriend of nine months, Peter Salah, rented a room at Eko Signature, created an ambience of romance, went down on one knee and ornamented Jennifer’s finger with a canary yellow diamond ring.

    It is no news that the 33-year-old mother of one has enjoyed the company of some Lagos big boys before now, and they were believed to include popular music act, Dbanj. But it would seem that her days of broken relationships are finally over.

Apart from running her father’s business, one other thing the daddy’s girl is passionate about is luxury wristwatches. A source close to her revealed she just got herself a Piaget Squelette Altiplano full pavé diamond valued at $45,000 as a Christmas present. The timepiece has a 40 mm black alligator strap with buckle in 18 carat white gold.  Earlier before the yuletide season, she got a Cartier Pasha Skeleton which has 320 diamonds and one Tsavorite in November.

She is said to be in sizzling romance with a Dubai-based Nigerian man named Peter Salah.

    Peter is reportedly renowned for spoiling ladies with expensive fun trips abroad. The new love birds are said to have become an item for some months now and have been making a lot of pleasure trips abroad.

    Until this latest story broke, the Executive Director of Polo Avenue has been busy with her business and that of her father with a moderate degree of success to show for it. But the same thing could not be said about her emotional attachments.

    The striking and genial beauty has not been so lucky with guys, as she had been linked with several big boys in the past, including popular musician, D’Banj. But just when it all looked like the duo was altar-bound, inertia took the better part of their relationship. This might have caused her to take a long break from any form of entanglement with men.

Without knowing it, many who visit the recently opened Polo Avenue, the one-stop shop for expensive designer wears in Lagos, always pray that Jennifer, the beautiful executive director of the company, would find a worthy suitor to crown her efforts. The thinking is that a young lady who is so blessed and hardworking deserves nothing less.

    A life partner has continued to elude this winsome lady who was linked with different young men in the past. While she is not known to jump around, Jennifer has had her share of broken relationships, while some of the men who would love to keep her are reported to have complained that they are intimidated by the overwhelming presence of her father in her life. The Polo boss is almost always in the company of her daughter, and this, we hear, is putting off some potential suitors.

    To be sure, Obayuwana’s love for her daughter is not misplaced. But some potential suitors believe it is high time he gave her pretty daughter some space for her to consider their advances.

Jennifer Obayuwana, daughter of John Obayuwana, Lagos socialite and MD/CEO of Polo Limited, and her close friend and poster boy of the Nigerian music industry, Dapo Oyebanji, popularly known as D’Banj, are no longer an item.

    Jennifer, a director in her father’s luxury company, was known to be very close to D’banj until recently. D’banj is a regular caller at Polo Limited on Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. But after only a few months of the alleged whirlwind romance, the steam in their relationship seems to have evaporated.

    According to information, the very busy schedule of the duo is primarily responsible for the crack in the seemingly cemented relationship. Until recently, Jennifer was reported to cope well with D’Banj’s absence when she needed him most. But things were said to have taken a new turn with Jennifer’s deeper involvement in her father’s business, which lives her with less time for D’Banj.

    It was also rumoured that she got hold of a piece of information to the effect that D’banj was involved with a daughter of a wealthy politician whose identity is known only to a tiny clique in the entertainment industry. And rather than make an issue of it, Jennifer decided to call it quits.

    The savvy lady who is the executive director of the brand will be opening a new arm of their luxury business dubbed The Avenue.

    The Avenue, according to information, will occupy the first floor of the popular Polo Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.
