Jewel Aieda centre in Lagos state, was a mecca of sorts recently as top tier fintech companies hosted a landmark wealth-building conference with over 900 participants involved.

The event was the maiden Naira Life Conference, organised by Zikoko, Africa’s leading digital platform for youth culture and storytelling.

Amongst the participants were young professionals, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders for a day of practical discussions on personal finance, business growth, investments, and career advancement.

Headlined by PiggyVest, with Carbon as silver sponsor, the conference also enjoyed support from Owo, Sparkle, Doroki (Paga), United Capital, MyCoverGenius, Geegpay, Busha, Branch, Bravewood, VFD, and Bundle.

Speaking during the sessions, Zikoko’s Senior Editor and Conference Programming Lead, Mr. Toheeb Lanlehin, explained that the goal was to pioneer a platform where Nigerians could access honest conversations about money and wealth creation.

“The conference was our opportunity to bring corporate employees, top professionals, and entrepreneurs together under one roof to share the playbook for unlocking financial success,” he said.

The event featured four content tracks — Personal Finance, Balance Sheet, Building Wealth, and Career Growth — covering real-life budgeting, business funding, investment strategies, and career development.

Organisers noted that the overwhelming attendance defied expectations, showing a growing appetite for financial education among young Nigerians.

Following the success of its maiden edition, the conveners announced that the wealth conference would now be held annually, with highlights and video content already available on digital platforms.

With this debut, Zikoko says Nigeria has taken a bold step toward equipping its youths with practical financial knowledge, creating fresh opportunities to build and sustain wealth.
