Multitalented Obioma Anyanwu aka JimmyEx has said his forthcoming EP album, Juan, is a tribute to his late mother, Juliana Anyanwu.
JimmyEx, an Afro hip life artist and a native of Imo State, has carved a niche for himself as a music producer, sound engineer, and businessman.
He noted that Juan was derived from the initials of her name, Juliana Uwaozuruonye Anyanwu.
“I lost her on March 13, 2024, and she was buried on May 10. The six-track EP released this August is a special dedication to her memory. It features two singles already making waves: Letter to God and Local featuring Derrek, both produced by JimmyEx and available on digital streaming platforms.

“The EP also includes contributions from other notable producers: Mr. Keyz on Alert and Dr. Jay on My Way. The entire project was mixed and mastered by WeDeyMix”, he said.
His previous EP, SOAG (Son of a God), was released in April, 2022, and he has since dropped many singles while also working on projects for other artists.
“I have been grinding and hustling locally for almost a decade now, I have been doing this for a long time, and I believe I have been paying my dues too in the music industry.”
