Slavia Prague head coach Jindřich Trpisovsky has expressed his delight at the transformation of newly invited Super Eagles defender, Igoh Ogbu.
Reacting to Ugo in Sunday’s 3-0 win over FK Jablonec at the Fortune Arena , Trpisovsky praised Ogbu’s work rate and asserts that the player would be a good addition for any team even in the top five leagues.
“Igohusually defends the opponent’s best player and can be dominant in duels,” Trpisovsky told the club’s official website. “He has calmed down recently, feels good and I think it was his first goal with his left foot in his career. ”
“He timed the whole situation perfectly and solved it perfectly. He is extremely important for us and his performances definitely exceed his current price tag.
“If he played in a foreign league, his value would be much higher. He has become a complete player,” Trpisovsky said.
Ogbu has scored 11 goals so far in his career in Europe. Nine headed goals for Slavia Prague before adding his left- footed goal to make it his 10th career goal for the Czech’s club. His only right- footed goal came while in the colours of Lillestrøm of Norway against FK Jerv in April, 2022.
