    American’s Lyles donates running kits to young Nigerian athletes

    In a heart-warming gesture of support and goodwill, American sprinter Josephus Lyles‘ foundation has made a significant contribution to the future of young athletes.

    Josephus, an accomplished athlete and the younger brother of 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles, recently donated running essentials, including canvases, spikes, and other valuable training kits, to aspiring athletes in Nigeria through an esteemed Nigerian athletics coach Kayode Yaya who with coach Osuagwu Chima overseeing the “HIT Athletics Club in Benin, Edo State-Nigeria.

    Coach Yaya, who coaches Nigeria’s own long jump sensation and Olympic medallist Ese Brume, expressed his deep gratitude for Josephus’ kindness.

    “This donation means so much to our young athletes,” Yaya said. “Josephus’ generosity provides not only equipment but inspiration and hope. He has shown them that their dreams are within reach and that their hard work is recognized, even from across the globe.

    “The donation will go to young, deserving athletes, many of whom lack access to quality training equipment but remain driven by their passion for the sport. With these new resources, they are better positioned to train with confidence and pursue excellence”

    Similarly, coach  Osuagwu expressed his joy over the new kits and praised Josephus for his generous heart, while the team’s athletes also commended Josephus’s foundation for the donations
