    Priscilla, Juma Jux recreate Tupac’s iconic pictures for first wedding anniversary

    Priscilla, daughter of actress Iyabo Ojo, and her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, are celebrating their first wedding anniversary with a romantic throwback photo shoot, recreating iconic images of Tupac Shakur and Janet Jackson from the 1993 film Poetic Justice.

    “One year down, forever to go,” Priscilla captioned the post on Instagram, which garnered congratulatory messages from friends, family, and celebrities.

    Social media influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa and actress Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla’s mother, were among those who wished the couple well.

    The couple, who tied the knot in a glamorous Islamic ceremony in Tanzania in February 2025, followed by events in Nigeria and a destination wedding in May, welcomed their first child, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in August 2025.

    The anniversary celebration has sparked an outpouring of love and best wishes for the young family.

    Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has shared the heart-warming story of how he met his Nigerian wife, Priscilla Ojo.

    In a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Jux revealed that he was immediately smitten with Priscilla’s beauty, but it was her excellent communication skills and other qualities that convinced him she was the one.

    According to him, he didn’t discover Priscilla’s celebrity status until he hosted her in Zanzibar and saw the blogs covering their meeting.

    He said, “I met Priscilla in Rwanda. I didn’t know she was a celebrity. When I saw her, it was love-at-first-sight. I was like, ‘Wow! This girl is beautiful, I like her.’

    “And after we had conversations, I figured out that she is the one I would marry. It was love-at-first-sight, to be honest. Even after many meetings, I still didn’t know she was a celebrity until I hosted her in Zanzibar, and blogs carried it.”

    The singer has credited his marriage to Priscilla with boosting his career, particularly in Nigeria and West Africa.

    Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo tied the knot earlier this year and welcomed their son, Rakeem, in Canada on August 24, 2025.

    The couple’s chance encounter in Rwanda led to a romance that has captivated fans across East and West Africa.

    Tanzanian singer Juma Jux’s luxury fashion store has been looted by protesters amid violent demonstrations following the country’s disputed general elections.

    The unrest erupted over allegations of electoral irregularities and the disqualification of key opposition figures.

    Contrary to initial reports, Juma Jux’s wife Priscilla Ojo clarified on Snapchat that the store was looted, not burnt.

    The looting occurred as protests spread across Dar es Salaam and other cities, with demonstrators demanding the cancellation of the election results.

    Actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla and husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, have returned to Nigeria with their newborn son, Rakeem, in a vibrant homecoming celebration.

    The event was filled with music, dance and traditional drumming, marking Rakeem’s first visit to Nigeria.

    Iyabo Ojo shared videos of the celebration on her Instagram page, capturing Priscilla’s emotional reaction and Juma Jux proudly carrying baby Rakeem.

     “Welcome to Nigeria #rakeem_mk,” she wrote.

    Chioma Ikokwu (Chioma GoodHair), Priscilla’s godmother, joined the celebration and commented, “My prince is here.”

    The homecoming follows a lavish 40-day celebration and naming ceremony for Rakeem held in Tanzania earlier this month.

    Priscilla expressed gratitude to mother and godmother, writing, “Rakeem is lucky. Thank you, Glamma and Godmother”.

    Baby Rakeem was welcomed into the world in Canada on August 24, 2025, after which Priscilla traveled to Tanzania, where Juma Jux organised a grand reception in their honour.

    The Lagos celebration marked a joyful occasion that brought together family, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate the newest member of the Ojo family.

    Juma Jux set to establish clothing factory

    Tanzania singer, Juma Jux Mkambala, has announced plans to establish his own clothing factory, African Boy Factory.

    He made the announcement, on Tuesday, on Instagram.

    Jux, who launched the African Boy clothing brand in 2018, said the new factory marks “a major milestone” for the label.

    “I’ve got some great news, my people! Through the vision and hard work behind our African Boy brand, today we’ve reached a major milestone by the grace of the Almighty. The process of establishing our very own African Boy clothing factory here in Tanzania has officially begun.”

    Jux appreciated the contribution of the Tanzanian government including the president, Samia Suluhu Hassan, and the Director General of the Tanzania Investment Centre, Gilead Teri.

    “I sincerely thank our Government under the leadership of our President, Dr. @samia_suluhu_hassan, for the support and great vision, as well as the Director General of the Tanzania Investment Centre, Mr. Gilead Teri (@invest_in_tanzania), for his valuable contribution.” he wrote.

    He also added that the project serves as a strong confirmation that young Tanzanians can “invest, build, and believe” in their country.”

    Juma Jux is a Tanzanian singer. He became popularly known in Nigeria when he tied the knot with his wife, Priscilla Ojo Mbakambala in 2025 in a glamorous wedding both in Nigeria and Tanzania.

    His wife, Priscilla, is the daughter of the popular actress, Iyabo Ojo. She is also an actress and ambassador to multiple brands.

    Juma Jux released, “Thank You” on July 25, 2025, dedicating it to his wife and unborn child. In the video, he expressed his love and happiness for his unborn child, and appreciation for his wife. Jux also pledged to love his child unconditionally.

    3. Moses Bliss

    Known for weaving Nigerian pidgin into his songs to connect with different levels of persons, his wedding ceremony in Ghana, in 2024 sparked widespread celebration. His wife, Marie Bliss, is a Ghanaian lawyer.

    Simi dedicated the iconic song “Duduke” to her unborn child, on April 16, 2020. ‘Duduke’ actually represents the sound of her heartbeat as she waited in anticipation of her unborn child. In the song, she expressed her longing to see her child’s face.

    Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has explained the story of how he guided his Christian wife, Priscilla Ojo, to convert to Islam.

    Jux, in an interview on Millard Ayo’s YouTube channel, admitted that the process was challenging and required patience, as well as guidance from religious leaders who taught him how to approach the conversation with his wife. 

    Over time, he said Priscilla understood and embraced Islam.

    Jux also spoke about his highly publicised wedding, revealing that he had a dream about it beforehand. 

    He expressed gratitude for finding a partner who shares his values and aspirations.

    “I knew everything when it came to my wedding. I had a dream about it, I was so lucky to find someone who wants the same thing as I. 

    “It was a little difficult convincing my wife to become a muslim. On the other hand, I was receiving lessons from religious leaders, so there was a way that they were teaching me about how to convince her, and with time, she understood,” he said.
