    Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ka3na Jones has opened up about the challenges of being a single mother after losing her husband early in life.

    In an emotional Instagram post, Ka3na shared her struggles with anxiety, grief, and the weight of solo parenting, contradicting the common notion that things get easier with time. 

    She expressed feelings of anger, exhaustion, and frustration, often wishing for someone to share the burden. 

    Ka3na said despite the challenges, she cherishes her daughter and wouldn’t change a thing, even if she knew her husband’s time was limited.

    She wrote: “I don’t believe I can even get used to being a single parent. This shit is hard.

    “They say it gets easier with time. Lies!
    They only grow—the anxiety, the grief, the responsibility, the sacrifices!

    “TRUST ME. Nobody ever tells you, “Hey Katie, this amazing man you’re about to marry only has five more years to live, make every second count.” Or, “Don’t rush into having kids… he’s going to die and leave you a widow and a single mother in your prime”.

    “Would I have done anything differently if I knew? Honestly, no. Because I can’t imagine my world right now without my baby girl. I Miss Mr. Jones every passing day

    “But am I angry sometimes? Tired? Worn out? Yes. Do I wish someone would just look at me and say, “Katie, take a break… I got this? Absolutely!!! I. Am. Tired”.

    Reality TV star Ka3na has called on Nigerian public figures, especially women, to be more transparent with their followers about their motherhood journeys, urging an end to the trend of faking pregnancies.

    In a candid post shared on Instagram, the mother of one criticised celebrities who create false narratives using fake baby bumps instead of being open about using surrogacy—a choice she described as valid, powerful, and nothing to be ashamed of.

    “Dear Nigerian Public Figures (especially women), we are privileged to be more informed, more exposed, and better travelled. With that comes the responsibility to be honest with our followers,” she wrote.

    Ka3na emphasised that embracing authenticity can positively impact women silently battling fertility issues, pregnancy trauma, or health complications. She argued that telling true stories can foster healing and support, rather than perpetuating misleading images.

    “There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a baby through a surrogate. The child is 100% yours. So why deceive your fans by pretending to be pregnant?” she asked.

    Drawing from her own traumatic pregnancy experience, Ka3na revealed that she would consider surrogacy for future children, stating that honesty should be seen as a strength, not a weakness.

    She urged fellow public figures to stop curating performative images and instead use their platforms to inspire with truth, noting that fans can often see through the deception.

    “Take me for example: I had a traumatic pregnancy that left me with a deep fear of going through it again. If I ever choose to have another child, I hope to go through surrogacy. And there’s nothing shameful about that. We have platforms. We have influence. Let’s use them to share truth that helps, not just images that perform. And for the record, many of us mothers can see through the act. You’re not pregnant, and that’s okay. But the lie? It’s unnecessary”, she added.

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ka3na Jones has sparked controversy on social media after sharing photos of a customised private jet and Range Rover with her name. 

    While some fans congratulated her on the apparent wealth, others accused her of photoshopping the images and living a fake life. 

    Rashydah wrote,: “Them go whine you, but no fold. Photoshop.”

    Irenosa said: “Inferiority complex is bad.”

    Miss Chidel argued: “Ka3na go try to whine us with her edited photoshopped. But make we no panic.”

    I did not divorce my late husband, says Ka3na

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ka3na has denied divorcing her Caucasian husband, Mr. Jones before his death.

    She clarified on X that she and her late husband never divorced and she has no plans of remarrying, changing her marital status or dropping her husband’s name.  

    The mother of one emphasised that the rumors are unfounded and completely untrue.

    She noted that she and her husband were both legally and traditionally married until he died.

    She wrote: “Public Announcement: I believe it is necessary for me to clarify a misconception that has been circulating amongst the public. There are individuals who falsely claim that I was divorced from my late husband prior to his untimely passing. This is entirely untrue. I was legally and traditionally married to Mr. Jones, and I am now his widow. I have no intention of remarriage or changing my marital status by dropping my husband’s name.

    “I kindly request that everyone respects this statement and refrains from spreading any form of misinformation. Sincerely, Ms. Katrina Jones. #KA3NATHEBOSSLADY”.

    Single motherhood a test even for the strongest – Ka3na laments challenges

    Popular reality star, Ka3na has expressed her struggles as a single mother while caring for her sick daughter in the hospital.

    It would be recalled that the former BBNaija contestant tragically lost her foreign husband in 2023.

    On her Instagram page, she lamented the challenges of March but found solace in God’s support during trying times.

    Ka3na revealed that the most challenging part for her as a single mother was being in the hospital alone caring for her daughter who was sick.

    She shared a video of her and her daughter at the hospital while the little girl received medical care from the workers.

    Ka3na wrote: “March brought with it a plethora of temptations, but God stood by our side. The most challenging part was being in the hospital alone with my baby… single motherhood is a test even for the strongest. I want to celebrate every mother who is thriving through the tough times that often go unspoken. Happy International Women’s Day to all of us, the true boss queens.”

    Reality TV star, Ka3na has argued that Nigerians are a part of the ongoing economic crisis in the country.

    The former BBNaija housemate recounted how she wanted to buy land and she was met with the ” high dollar rate” which made her wonder how it correlated.

    She wondered what the dollar rate has got to do with the price of land as she blamed Nigerians for their own misfortunes.

    The mother of one said that although a nation’s government has flaws, its citizens could be much worse.

    Ka3na bemoaned the fact that the current society prioritises money over human lives and urged everyone to exercise caution and vigilance during this time.

    “The system may be flawed, but we, as individuals, can be even worse. The current society prioritizes money over human lives and dignity. Remember to stay vigilant and cautious. Trust is a rare commodity in this day and time. even your closest friend may betray you for a mere 50k. Stay safe out there”.
