    Kai Cenat visits Makoko kids, donates educational materials

    Popular US-based streamer, Kai Cenat, has visited the Makoko Children School Orphanage Home, donating school supplies and spending time with the children.

    The 24-year-old content creator, known for his massive online following, interacted with the kids through dancing, painting, and games.

    Cenat, on his second trip to Nigeria, expressed his love for Lagos, citing the warm reception he received.

    He said he feels very comfortable whenever he is in Lagos, and the love he gets is a big reason he keeps coming back.

    “I feel very comfortable whenever I’m in Lagos. The love I get here is a big reason I keep coming back.

    “Being back in Nigeria means everything to me. I was here two years ago, and I completely enjoyed it. Everybody showed me love. When I returned to America, I told people Nigeria is a place to visit,” he said.

    He added that missing the festive period in Lagos was a major regret, noting his desire to better understand Nigerian culture.

    He said, “I’m so mad that I missed December in Lagos. I just want to understand the culture more and explore it better. That’s what I’ve been doing all day.”

    Cenat previously initiated a school project in Makoko, donating $3,000 towards its development in 2024.

    The streamer met with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who praised him for using his platform for good.

    Cenat’s philanthropic efforts in Makoko include plans to build a school, providing free education to local children.

    Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has received American online streamer and YouTube personality Kai Cenat at the Lagos House, Marina, on a courtesy visit.

    Cenat, who is on his second visit to Lagos, expressed his positive experiences in the state.

    According to Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the governor, on Wednesday, Cenat is in Lagos to pursue projects and initiatives aimed at benefiting kids and young people in the state.

    He wrote, “Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today received American Online Streamer, YouTube and Internet Personality @KaiCenat on a Courtesy Visit at the Lagos House, Marina.

    “He shared some of his very nice experiences he has enjoyed visiting Lagos, this is his second visit to the State.

    America’s YouTuber, Kai Cenat set to build school for Makoko children

    Popular American streamer and YouTuber, Kai Cenat, has announced plans to build a school for children in the floating slums of Makoko, an informal settlement in Lagos, Nigeria.

    Kai Cenat made this known during a recent live stream, sharing insights from his visit to Nigeria earlier this month.

    The Nation reported that popular skit maker, Shank comics, welcomed the American streamer and YouTuber to Nigeria.

    However, it was Grammy-nominated superstar, Davido, who later took charge of hosting duties, offering Kai Cenat a more comprehensive tour of the bustling city of Lagos.

    During his live stream, Cenat spoke passionately about his experiences in Makoko and the pressing need to provide educational opportunities for the children residing in this community.

    He announced plans for the school are already underway and stressed on the importance of collaboration to bring this vision to fruition.

    “I have set the ball rolling on plans to build a good school in Makoko for the kids living there,” Cenat said,

    He went on to encourage those with relevant contacts in construction and equipment procurement to come forward and contribute to the initiative.
