    Kalu Uche returns to Almeria

    Nigeria international Kalu Uche has returned for a third spell at Spanish Segunda División outfit UD Almeria, writes the official website of the Andalusian club.

    After passing a medical examination, the experienced striker has penned a deal that will keep him at Almeria until the end of the 2016-2017 season.

    Previously, he wore the jersey of Almeria for six years, from 2005-2011, scoring 39 goals in 172 league games, before returning to the club for the second half of last season.

    Kalu Uche took part in his first training session with the Rojiblancos on Friday morning, before having an individual session at the gym.

    The 2010 World Cup star has also represented Espanyol and Levante in Spain.

    Kalu Uche fires fourth goal in India

    Kalu Uche netted his fourth goal in as many matches when he scored twice on Tuesday to help Pune City beat Kerala Blasters 3-2 in an India Soccer League game.

    Pune City top the league table with 12 points from six games.

    The former Espanyol forward scored in the 16th minute to level score at 1-1 and cancel Mohammed Rafi’s first minute goal.

    Uche gave Pune City the lead for the first time in the game at 2-1 in the 23rd minute.

    The 32-year-old striker has played for Espanyol, Neuchatel Xamax, Wisla Kraków, Al Jaish, Al Rayyan, Bordeaux and Kasimpasa.

    Kalu Uche nets fifth Levante goal

    Nigeria striker Kalu Uche scored his fifth goal for Levante on Sunday in a 2-2 draw at home with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish La Liga.

    Levante are 15th on the league table with 36 points from 36 games.

    The former Espanyol hit man gave his side a 2-1 lead with a 63rd minute strike, before Fernando Torres made it 2-2 ten minutes to the end of the game.

    Uche joined Levante in January.

    Levante forward Kalu  Uche has been congratulated by his brother Ikechukwu after scoring on his debut this past weekend.

    The experienced Nigerian striker opened his goalscoring account for the Valencia-based side 15 minutes from time in the 4-1 win over Malaga at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia .

    “Congratulations to my brother Kalu on scoring a goal in his debut with #LevanteUD, ” Ikechukwu Uche said.

    Kalu Uche spent 79 minutes on the pitch before making way for Victor Casadesús Castaño.

    The Levante number 5 previously sported the jerseys of Espanyol and Almeria.

    Forgotten Super Eagles forward, Uche Kalu, has joined a Spanish side, Levante, on a short term deal till the end of the season, sl10.ng reports.

    Uche, who had a stint in Turkey with Kasimpasa is presently in Qatar trying to reach a solution concerning the termination of his contract with Al-Rayyan, before travelling to Spain to complete his move to the La liga side.

    Levante needs a proven goal scorer and in the opinion of club officials, Uche who has featured for Almeria and Espanyol could solve the team goal scoring problems.

    Report says the former Bordeaux striker will be given an extended deal at the end of the season based on the number of goals he scores for the team in his initial six month spell at the struggling La liga outfit, who once had Obafemi Martins on its payroll.

    Turkish Super League club Kasimpasa have parted company with Nigeria international Kalu Uche.

    Amkspor.com says Kalu Uche, who netted twice for the Super Eagles at the 2010 World Cup, had been involved in a pay dispute with the leadership of Kasimpasa.

    And as a result, the 30 – year – old attacker did not play a single game in the championship in the ongoing season.

    Kalu Uche has agreed to join an unnamed Qatari club for a fee in the region of 3.5 million euros.

    He rejected a move to Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda last month.

    Super Eagles striker Kalu Uche has opened his goal scoring account for his Qatari side El-Jaish as he got one of the goals in the 4-2 away win over Al Mu’aidar in a League clash on Saturday night.

    Uche, who scored 19 goals for his former Turkish club Kasimpasa before heading to the Middle East, registered his name on the scorer’s sheet in the 39th minute after teammates Abdulla Ayesh Mohammad and Mohammed Jeedo had shot the visitors ahead with strikes in the 31st and 37th minutes.

    El-Jaish went into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead but the hosts attempted a comeback through Bolivia midfielder Jhasmany Campos who pulled a goal back in the 69th.

    The faint charge by the hosts was short lived as El-Jaish restored their three-goal cushion five minutes later through Wagner Riberio.

    Another goal off the boots of Campos with three minutes left on the clock was too little too late as Uche and his teammates smiled away with all the three points to stay joint top on the standings with 12 points from 6 games.

    Kasimpasa: Kalu Uche demands pay raise

    Super Eagles and Kasimpasa forward, Kalu Uche has reportedly demanded a pay rise from his employers.

    The 30 year-old prolific forward proved his mettle last season by netting 19 times to help the club finish sixth on the Super Lig table despite just making his debut in the Turkish league.

    Uche has therefore asked that his salary be more than doubled, amid talks that the Nigeria striker has attracted interest from other Super Lig sides according to football411.

    Uche is believed to be asking for a €1.8million as against his current €800,000 for his monthly services as he looks to negotiate new terms with the Istanbul-based outfit.

    Should Uche and his employers fail to come to an agreement, the Eagles forward could find himself spoilt for choice as Trabzonspor are reportedly keen on signing him.

    The Nigerian international who is still recuperating from a minor surgery he had earlier this summer missed Kasimpasa’s loss to Karabukspor in their 2013/14 season opener on Saturday.

    Five million Euros-rated Kalu Uche is wanted by Trabzonspor after the club ended the pursuit of ex-Liverpool star Milan Baros, MTNFootball.com reports.

    Trabzonspor will have to cough out 5.3 million Euros to lure the Nigeria striker away from fellow Turkish club Kasimpasa.

    Uche was a smash hit with Kasimpasa last season, where he scored 19 goals to emerge as second top scorer in his debut season in Turkey.

    According to fanatik.com, coach Mustafa Akçay is desperate to land a striker before the transfer window closes and the Nigerian is now his main target and so Trabzonspor will begin negotiations as soon as possible.
