    Aide empowers woman Qur’an reciter

    Personal Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Special Duties, Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf, has empowered a young woman Qur’an reciter, Alimot Daud, with industrial sewing machines and tailoring kits.

    The president’s aide also offered financial support, covering accommodation and shop rent for the lady at a location of her choice – paid for the next two years, to help her attain stability and grow her tailoring business with dignity and ease.

    The gesture came after Daud’s captivating recitation of the Holy Qur’an with a sonorous voice went viral.

    In the clip, Alimot recited verses of the Qur’an with remarkable clarity and elocution, drawing the attention and admiration of her audience, which included her mentor, Khalifa Jamiu, son of the late Muslim scholar, Sheikh Jamiu Bulala – and other Muslim scholars, including Sheikh Daud Nla.

    Yusuf, moved by her talent, supported her by equipping her with tools to aid her economic independence and growth.

    He gave her money to cover house and shop expenses for two years.

    In an emotional response captured in a follow-up video, she expressed gratitude for the gift, describing Yusuf as a “godsend”, who recognised and appreciated Allah’s gift in her.

    “A godsend, Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf, appreciated the divine quality in me, and decided to empower me with industrial sewing machines and tailoring kits,” Daud said.

    In the video, she praised her benefactor for the kind gestures, saying the tools would help her tailoring business.

    Daud prayed for Yusuf, asking for divine mercy and abundant blessings upon him.

    The empowerment has been lauded online, with many hailing Yusuf for uplifting a woman, who combines her religious passion with a drive for economic empowerment.

    As Personal Assistant on Special Duties to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kamorudeen has brought quiet precision to a role that demands both trust and performance. His work touches the heart of the Renewed Hope agenda. He understands the vision, but more importantly, he knows how to translate it into real outcomes, day by day, detail by detail.

    His support for the administration’s policy reforms has been consistent and clear.     President Bola Tinubu’s Personal Assistant on Special Duties, Kamorudeen Yusuf, has awarded a scholarship to Master Sodiq Shoyode, a 16-year-old who scored 360 in the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

    Despite his poor socioeconomic status, Sodiq has always aimed to be at the top of his class and he proved his mettle in the just concluded UTME exams.

    Besides studying for Mechanical Engineering, Sodiq wants to learn Back -End Software Development before proceeding with his university admission.

    Yusuf, who received the news of Sodiq’s high performance, was so impressed that he reached out to the family to support the aspiration of the high performer.

    He pledged to provide a laptop for Sodiq to learn in a top digital academy in Lagos and also support his university education.

    In a chat with our correspondent, Sodiq, who hails from Ado-Odo LGA, in Ogun State, said: “I have always had the goal of scoring 360 and above in JAMB since I was in SS1 and I’m glad I was able to achieve my goal.”

    Sodiq credited his success to consistent study habits and practice tests.

    “I did a lot of practice tests and recorded my progress weekly to know the areas I need to improve on,” he said.

    The young scholar, overwhelmed with joy over news of his good fortune, expressed gratitude to his parents and benefactor.

    “I appreciate my parents for their support and encouragement, most especially Mr Kamorudeen Yusuf, the Personal Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has promised to lighten the financial burden on my parents. I’m eternally grateful Sir,” said an elated Sodiq.

    Sodiq’s parents, Mr. Nojimu and Mrs. Oluwatoyin Shoyede, are very thrilled about their child’s achievement and grateful for Mr. Yusuf’s kindness.

    Yusuf has also awarded N10million scholarships to some kids in Lagos.

    Personal Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Special Duties, Kamorudeen Yusuf, has given N10 million as scholarship to a pupil.

    The aide was moved by a viral video of a teenage girl, aged 12, and decided to reward the girl and her younger brother with N10million scholarship.

    Ademuyiwa Adebola, who posted the video on his Whatsapp status, in a chat, said on the instruction of Yusuf, he verified the authenticity of the documentary and met with the family, teacher and proprietor at University of Lagos (UNILAG) Staff School.

    Yusuf later paid N5 million into each child’s account..

    Their mother, Mrs Fauzia Shittu, teacher, Mrs. Fatima Abiola, and deputy headmistress, Dr. Esther Shogami, lauded the kind gesture.

    Shittu thanked Yusuf and Adebola for blessing them.

    The children, Ummulkhulthum and her younger brother, Ahmad,  aged eight, were happy. They hailed their benefactor and prayed for his family.

    Kamorudeen Yusuf, the Personal Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Special Duties, has awarded a N10 million scholarship to the Shittu family in a show of generosity and support.

    The gesture was inspired by a viral video posted by popular TikToker @Tiktok4joel, in which a 12-year-old girl wearing a hijab was playfully encouraged to drink water during Ramadan.

    The girl politely declined, explaining she was observing the fast and could not eat or drink until dusk.

    Despite being offered a gift by the TikToker, who was playing a prank, the girl refused again, stating that her mother would disapprove of her accepting gifts from strangers.

    Deeply moved by the girl’s discipline and strong moral upbringing, Yusuf decided to support the family with the scholarship funds for their welfare and educational needs.

    The video soon went viral, generating over three million views in Nigeria alone.

    As fate would have it, Mr Ademuyiwa Taofeek Adebola later posted the video randomly on his WhatsApp status.

    Deeply moved by the girl’s discipline and strong moral upbringing, Yusuf decided to support the family with the scholarship funds for their welfare and educational needs.

    Shedding more light on this development, Mr Adebola, in a chat with our correspondent, said that on the instruction of Mr Yusuf, he had personally gone to verify the authenticity of the video documentary, where he met with the family, school tutor, and proprietor at the University of Lagos Staff School.

    After Mr Adebola’s background check, he subsequently asked the family to open two separate accounts for the kids, where each was credited with the sum of N5 million on Monday, April 14th, 2025.

    Speaking separately, the mother of the kids, Mrs Fauzia Musa Ismail Shittu, Mrs. Fatima Abiola, tutor, and Dr. Esther Shogami, Deputy Headmistress at the UNILAG Staff School, were elated, expressing gratitude for the kind gestures.

    Mrs Shittu was particularly effusive with praises for her children’s good fortunes, offering prayers for all who made this possible, especially Mr Yusuf, the benefactor, and Mr Adebola, who was the vehicle used by Providence to bless the family at this time.

    “May Allah reward you, Mr Kamorudeen Yusuf and Mr Ademuyiwa Taofeek Adebola. We’re truly very honoured by these kind gestures,” said an obviously elated Mrs Shittu.

    Expectedly, the lucky kids, Ummulkhulthum Shittu and her younger brother, Ahmad Shittu, aged 8, were also joyous as they expressed profound gratitude to their benefactor even as they offered prayers for members of his household and more.

    Personal Assistant on Special Duties to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kamorudeen Yusuf, has announced the launching of a scholarship programme benefiting 40 students at Markaz Agege, a renowned Islamic educational institution in Lagos State.

    The announcement came during Yusuf’s visit to the institution, where he was welcomed by Sheik Habibullahi Adam El-Ilory, the Mudirul Markaz.

    The scholarship package will benefit 40 students across diploma and undergraduate programmes, accompanied by additional educational resources, including books and copies of the Quran for many other students.

    At the event, Alhaji Kamorudeen, an alumnus of the institution, expressed his connection to the school.

    He said: “Markaz Agege is where I grew up. I’m happy to be here today and give back to the school.’’

    Yusuf also promised his support for Markaz Publishing House, pledging to assist in the printing of more books to benefit indigent students across Nigeria.

    The event was attended by personalities, including renowned Ilorin-born Islamic cleric, Abdulraheem Abdullahi Salaty (Albaarizy), Sheik Morufudeen Sulaimon and Chief Habeeb Okunola (Akosin of Yorubaland).

    Also at the event were ACP Sefiu Akande, Commander of Presidential Escort, Alhaji Saheed Suberu, Alhaji  Sulaimon Lafeef and Alhaji Ayodeji Folorunso.

    Kamorudeen Yusuf, the Personal Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Special Duties, has announced 40 scholarships for Diploma and Undergraduate students at Markaz Agege, Lagos State.

    The scholarships were unveiled during Yusuf’s recent visit to the renowned Islamic institution, where he also donated books to promote learning and development among students.

    In his remarks, the presidential aide expressed gratitude to Almighty God for granting him the opportunity to give back to his grassroots community.

    Yusuf explained that the scholarships reflect the significant impact Markaz Agege had on his own educational journey.

     “Returning to my roots at Markaz Agege, where the foundations of faith and knowledge were laid, was a moment of profound gratitude and reflection.

    “I am humbled to give back to the institution that shaped me,” Yusuf added.

    He said that the scholarships were designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students pursuing their academic goals, reinforcing his commitment to excellence in education.

     Yusuf emphasised that this initiative was not merely a gesture but rather an investment in the future of the community. 

    “This is not just a gesture, it is an investment in the future of our community and a celebration of the power of education to transform lives,” he added.

    The president aide noted that in addition to the scholarships, donation of books which aimed at enriching the academic resources available to students at Markaz Agege Islamic institution.

    He however, extended his gratitude to his alma mater for the warm welcome he received during his visit.
