95 Kano youths sponsored by AA Zaura graduate in Digital Entrepreneurship

95 Kano youths sponsored by the AA Zaura Foundation have completed the Digital Entrepreneurship for Nigerian Youth Programme, with specialty in Digital Entrepreneurship and Agricultural Value Chain Production.

The beneficiaries schooled at the University of Sunderland and the London Academy Business School.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, held at Tahir Guest Palace, Kano, the President of the Foundation, Alh. AA Zaura, said the graduands have been trained not only to grow food but to grow ideas, using digital tools to scale productivity.

“They are also to apply entrepreneurial thinking to solve real-world challenges, and to lead the transformation of agriculture from soil to screen, and from Kano to Nigeria, Africa and to the global marketplace,” AA Zaura said.

Zaura, while congratulating the graduates, noted that they have not only completed the programme, but they have embraced a future that is digital, productive, and full of limitless possibilities.

Zaura said: “It is with great honour, deep pride, and a profound sense of responsibility that we celebrate the successful graduation of 95 extraordinary young men and women from Kano who have completed the Digital Entrepreneurship for Nigerian Youth Programme, with a special focus on Digital Enterprenueshiip and Agricultural Value Chain Production.

“Today’s ceremony is not merely about awarding Diplomas in Digital Entrepreneurship, it is about marking the beginning of a new era. An era where Kano youth no longer wait for opportunities to come to them, but one where they can create the opportunities.

“It is an era where agriculture is no longer seen as subsistence, but one where it has become a technologically powered engine of innovation, enterprise, and wealth creation.

“You are the heartbeat of a changing Nigeria, particularly Kano State. You came into this programme with curiosity and perhaps uncertainty, but you are leaving now with competence, confidence, skills and a clear direction.

“Armed with knowledge, you now possess what few in Kano State have, a global-standard Diploma in Digital Entrepreneurship, which has been adapted for local impact in our most strategic sector: digital Entrepreneurship and agricultural value chain production.”

The ponsor appreciated the Foundation’s partners from the University of Sunderland and the London Academy Business School, saying their commitment to co-creating the initiative and investing in the capacity of African youths is commendable.

“This is how global collaboration should work, it should be rooted in adequate needs assessment of local needs, relevance to the beneficiaries, driven by dignity, and focused on long-term transformation,” Zaura said.
