Marketer Kazim Adeoti has praised his wife actress Mercy Aigbe for her sincerity and integrity.

In an interview on Oyinmomo TV, he recalled their first collaboration in 2011 on the film “Hajia Jemila,” where he paid for her role.

Unlike others, Adeoti said Mercy didn’t complain about the payment; instead, she thanked him and returned the excess money.

Kazim said he was impressed by her integrity and decided to work with her despite advice to only collaborate with men.

He described her as a beautiful woman with a strong sense of integrity, and their professional relationship eventually blossomed into marriage.

“What I really admire about her is her honesty and straightforwardness; it’s something I truly respect. I remember in 2011 when she starred in a film titled Hajia Jemila. After I paid her, I was already used to people complaining that the fee was too small. But in her case, she actually came back to tell me there was leftover money. I was genuinely shocked. At the time, many people advised me to only work closely with men if I wanted to succeed in the industry. But I decided to give her a chance, and she completely changed my perspective. She’s not only a woman but a beautiful one at that and still, she acted with so much integrity. Honestly, I never collected that remaining money from her, and we continued working together from there”, he said.

Film producer and marketer, Kazim Adeoti, has spoken out about his absence from his first wife, Olufunsho Adeoti’s 50th birthday celebration in the United States.

Adeoti, now married to Mercy Aigbe, explained that Olufunsho explicitly told him not to attend the party.

He also mentioned how he supported her financially and morally but respected her wishes to avoid embarrassment.

Contrary to public perception, Adeoti claimed they share a cordial relationship, saying that he wished her a happy birthday offline, to which she responded positively.

Adeoti pleaded with the media and social media users to cease publishing derogatory comments about his family, emphasising that Olufunsho remains a significant part of his life as the mother of his four children.

He expressed gratitude for the love and support from friends and family and acknowledged the success of the birthday party.

“This is to address the recent media comments surrounding Mrs Olufunsho Adeoti’s 50th birthday celebration which was held in the US last weekend.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the celebrant spoke about her plan for her 50th birthday party and how she wished to celebrate it. She wanted a party but shockingly she specifically said I should not attend. I asked her again to be sure in the presence of our children and to everybody’s surprise her response was consistent-she said NO.

“That was her wish and I would not want to be embarrassed by attending a party that the celebrant asked me not to attend, so I stayed in Nigeria.

“Regardless of how painful her position was to me, I ensured that I supported her morally and financially towards the party’s success. I also informed and ensured some of our families and friends in the USA honoured her big day.

“As I always do, I wish her a happy birthday offline and she acknowledged pleasantly.

“Olufunsho remains a significant part of my life. I can never wish her anything other than what is beautiful in life because she is the proud mother of my four lovely children. That can never be undone intact. It is the most important thing in my life.

“I therefore will appeal to members of the public especially the social media, particularly the Facebook community to desist from making unfound and distorted comments about my family if you truly love and care about us.

“The best way to support us is to let peace reign as social media is not real life. Thank you, and God bless you, Kazim Adeoti.”
