    Anambra billionaire Kenneth Ifekudu honoured with Ebonyi chieftaincy title for humanitarian contributions

    Anambra-born businessman, billionaire philanthropist, and CEO of Diamond Leeds Ltd, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu na Ozubulu) OFR, has added another chieftaincy title to his illustrious portfolio, this time in Ebonyi State, reflecting his influence beyond his home state.

    He was bestowed with the traditional title of Ife Abata (Light Has Come) by the Ezeudo II of Amike Autonomous Community, Ezzangbo, Ohaukwu Local Government Area, His Royal Highness, Eze Sir Michael Nwankwo JP.

    The honour was in recognition of Ifekudu’s contributions to the development of Amike community and society at large, particularly his efforts in providing roads and other critical infrastructure.

    During a colourful ceremony on Saturday marking the conferment, High Chief Ifekudu expressed gratitude to Eze Sir Michael Nwankwo and the Amike Kingdom, describing the honour as a challenge to do even more. He emphasized that the recognition strengthens ties between neighboring states and urged all Igbo sons and daughters to continue extending humanitarian efforts wherever they are.

    Ifekudu also highlighted that the ceremony celebrated Igbo culture, acknowledging and rewarding acts of kindness and community development.

    Renowned for his philanthropy in Ozubulu, Anambra State, and beyond, Ifekudu recently empowered over 100 individuals with mini trucks to support livelihoods amid growing economic challenges. This latest title adds to his earlier honour, Ife Ozubulu (The Light of Ozubulu), conferred by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Fidelis Oruche, Obi Ozubulu, earlier this year.

    In addition to leading Diamond Leeds Ltd, Ifekudu is Chairman of Gorrion Engineering Ltd and was recently named Businessman of the Year by the Sun Newspaper. He is widely praised for ensuring that his community members are the first beneficiaries of his charitable initiatives.

    The ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Prof. Ben Akanegbu, Dean Faculty of Economics, Nile University; HRM Eze Sir Michael Nwankwo; Eze Udo II of Amike Bar Ik Ibe; Ugo Nwa Nne Nnewi; Enviable Transport; Hon.     Billionaire philanthropist Kenneth Ifekudu bags chieftaincy title of Ife Ozubulu

    Billionaire businessman, philanthropist and CEO Diamond Leeds Ltd, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu na Ozubulu), has been honoured with another chieftaincy title in recognition of his massive philanthropy and humanitarian works in his community. 

    He was honoured with the title of Ife Ozubulu, which means “light of Ozubulu” by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnamdi Fidelis Oruche, Obi Ozubulu in appreciation of his contributions towards raising the bar of development in Ozubulu, Anambra State. 

    The event took place on Dec. 31, 2024 at Ugodinobi Palace, Amakwa, Ozubulu, Ekwusigo LGA., Anambra State and was a colourful sight to behold as sons and daughters of the community and high profile individuals filed out to witness the happy moment. 

    His friend and associates from far and wide came to be part of the wonderful display of rich cultural heritage of the people of Ozubulu. 

    Hiswife, Lolo Kenneth Ifekudu, was also crowned with a prestigious tradition title in recognition of her overwhelming support to the husband.

    Agbalanze is known to have brought succour and laughter to many families in Ozubulu in particular and Anambra State in general. 

    Not long ago, he empowered over 100 persons with mini trucks to support their livelihood, in response to growing economic challenges facing many families across the country, arising from high cost of living, hyper inflation and job losses. 

    Similar projects have also been carried out in the past to advance his humanitarian and philanthropic programmes such as the construction of the Mega Ultra Modern Market and a 2.27km road in Ozubulu.

    Ifekudu, who recently won the award of businessman of the year of the Sun Newspaper, has consistently demonstrated that charity begins at home, which inspired the decision to ensure that people of his community are the first beneficiaries of the empowerment. 

    Ifekudu, who is also the Patron of the Igbo Ambassadors Club, United Kingdom, who recently unveiled his multi-billion Naira mansion in Anambra was last year honoured by Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) with the prestigious award of Man of the Year.

    A holder of national honour of OFR, he has remained consistent in carrying out very impactful projects in communities.
