    Klever Jay, DJ YK headline Afrocentric vibe at Sinatra

    Nigerian music star Klever Jay and popular disc jockey, DJ YK, will lead other entertainers to the May edition of Afrocentric vibe at Sinatra.

    Segun Amosu, the man behind Sinatra Place, Club Carica, and House 9 Royale, the May edition of Afrocentric vibes will be held on May 31, 2025 and it’s a must attend for all fun lovers.

    Also expected to thrill guests and fun seekers at the event are DJ Elsie, DJ Omoh, and DJ Presh, while the event will be hosted by Dread Josh.

    Amosu promised that the Afrocentric vibe event will continue to be held at Sinatra with various and leading Nigerian music stars, thrilling fun seekers, and guests with every event.

    According to Amosu, “Sinatra is a lifestyle. Walking into any of my hospitality outfits, I want people to simply feel comfort and get that homely feeling. On May 31, we will be treating our guests, customers, and fun seekers to a great night of music and fun.” For Amosu, that is one quality that is sacrosanct to quality hospitality.

    I’m thankful for grace, longevity, says Klever Jay

    Singer Klever Jay has said that he is deeply grateful for the grace and longevity that have sustained his career in Nigeria’s fast‑evolving music scene.

    Speaking in a recent interview with The Nation, Klever Jay described maintaining relevance as “not easy” and expressed appreciation for fans who have supported his hits over the years.

    “I’m thankful for the talent, for the grace to have a song with that kind of longevity,” he said. “In this kind of industry and country, it’s not easy, so I’m grateful for everything.”

    Despite the perception that older artists have fallen by the wayside, the singer insists he has never left the industry. “I was never out of the industry, don’t worry—keep your fingers crossed. Something is coming,” Klever Jay teased.

    On the topic of earnings, he noted that today’s market offers more financial opportunities than when he first started. “The industry is more lucrative right now than then,” he observed, pointing to streaming, brand partnerships and other revenue streams that have emerged in recent years.

    Asked about the notion that newer acts are out‑earning established stars, Klever Jay dismissed generational comparisons altogether. “Forget about generation,” he said. “Everybody gets their time, and as far as we are still breathing and the talent is still there, we still dey enter studio, dey record and drop new songs.”

    Klever Jay thrills fans at Lagos Country club pool party

    It was a flashback on Saturday, February 24, when Afrobeats star Klever Jay, serenaded members and guests of Lagos Country star Club, Ikeja at a pool party.

    Klever Jay, who was supported by his hype-man, dished out some of his old tunes including his famed number, ‘Koni Koni Luv’, making fans troop to the dance floor.

    The event, which was held at the club’s poolside, had in attendance the club president, Seyi Adewunmi, some management council members as well as members and their guests.

    The pool party, a brainchild of the club’s youth committee, was part of activities to celebrate the 2023/2024 edition of the Youth Week.

    “We need a new energy to engage our teenagers and youths,” said Sesan Asani, chairman of the committee.

    “The aim of the week is to embrace more younger members to be more active in club activities.”

    The youth week began on Thursday, February 22 with water polo and continued on Friday, February 23 with football and basketball games. On Saturday, February 24, the club organised a Tech Talk which was delivered by Fortune Okoye, a young tech entrepreneur and was followed by a teenagers’ party and a pool party.
