    Lions club to upgrade Kuchingoro Primary Health Center

    Newly inaugurated President of the Abuja Mega Lions Club, Lion Evelyn Bassey has pledged to upgrade the Primary Health Center in Kuchingoro in the Federal Capital Territory to ensure better access to healthcare for vulnerable residents.

    She made the pledge after she was inaugurated as the 4th President of the Abuja Mega Lions Club in a ceremony attended by members and community leaders in Abuja.

    In her acceptance speech, Bassey expressed gratitude for the trust placed on her and acknowledged the remarkable leadership of her predecessors.

    “I stand on the shoulders of giants,” she stated, acknowledging the legacy of service that shapes the club.

    Bassey outlined her ambitious agenda for the year, focusing on three key areas – Healthcare, hunger relief, and youth empowerment.

    “No one, especially children, should go to bed hungry,” she added, detailing initiatives to provide nutritional support to families in need.

    Former President of the association, Folashade Olaifa, reflected on her tenure with pride, stressing the successful renovation of LEA Primary School in Saburi a suburb in the FCt which received commendation from the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

    The Chairman of the day, HRH Dr Adetayo Haastrup, the Olumobi of Imobi-Ijesha, Osun State, made a considerable donation towards the new President’s signature project. The monarch enjoined the public to key into what the Lions Club was doing in Nigeria.
