Women also cheat but more discreet – Kunle Afod

Actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has shared controversial views on infidelity, asserting that women cheat as much as men but are more discreet.

In an interview with Biola Bayo, he linked the rise in DNA testing to women’s infidelity and criticised the use of dildos, equating it to “worshipping an idol” and questioning why one would not suffice.

“I believe women cheat just as men, just that they are smarter. Immediately a man starts having an affair, the wife will notice. A man who cheats with a woman, not a wood. The issue of DNA has most women as culprits. This cheating is the same everywhere. Women now cheat to the extent of having multiple dildos. Is one dildo not enough? I don’t want to cheat on my husband, yet you bought a dildo. In my heart, you already worshipped an idol”, he said.

In the same interview, Afod  praised his wife, Desola, for the strength of their marriage.

Afod acknowledged that their relationship, like any other, faces challenges but described Desola as “the best woman ever,” emphasising that women play a critical role in sustaining a home through tough times.

“Any home that survives the test of time, the woman is the one responsible for it. My wife and I have our own issues, just the same way, but it’s every home. But, I want to tell her today that she is the best woman ever,” he said.

S3x-for-role without talent a waste of time – Kunle Afod

Actor and philanthropist Kunle Afod has downplayed the prevalence of sexual exploitation in Nollywood, suggesting that such occurrences are not unique to the film industry.

Speaking during an interview on Nollywood on Radio, Afod likened the issue to romantic advances in other professional fields, insisting that true success still hinges on talent.

“Without talent, even selling your body won’t get you far,” he said, stressing that while people may leverage personal assets to climb the ladder, only skill and creativity can ensure longevity.

Afod also encouraged aspiring filmmakers to take control of their careers through self-production, declaring, “Everybody can produce movies.”

Afod said: “One thing I tell people, bring out those that said they raped them in the industry.

“We are adults. There is consent. If you attend school, they will likely ask you out. If you are a nurse, doctors might ask you out. Patients might ask you out. If you like, you agree.

“We have bankers who are looking for targets. If the man you’re going to meet asks you out and you like him, you agree. And you meet your target. It’s the same thing. It’s not their problem.

“If I were a coach, I have 21 players. And I am going to use 11. Probably, I might have 14 good players. If you want to get your way, you will use what you have to get your way.

“That is what the girls always say. Use what you have to get what you want. Not all the girls.

“But see, let me tell you the truth. Your talent will always be ahead in everything. If you are not good and you sell your body, you are just wasting your time.

“Because they will not use you. But if you are good and you insist that you are not going to lay on anybody’s bed. That talent will still put you on that spot.

“Let everybody have their own money and produce their own movies. It is as simple as that. Everybody can produce. That’s Nigerian style. Everybody can produce movies. Everybody can. You can”.

  • How I ended a relationship because of my boss-Actor Ibrahim Bello

How I ended a relationship because of my boss-Actor Ibrahim Bello

Movie star Ibrahim Olalekan Bello, popularly known as Omoba Sanjay, has revealed in a recent interview with Kunle Afod that he ended a relationship due to interference from his boss, a prominent movie producer.

The situation, he said, unfolded when he met a woman on a film set and they began a romance.

However, his boss, who had also taken an interest in the woman, started giving her money for feeding despite not being involved in the project.

According to Omoba Sanjay, he chose to prioritise his acting career over the relationship, fearing that his boss’s influence could jeopardise his future opportunities in the industry.

He explained that the producer’s power and connections made it risky to pursue the relationship further.

In his words: “I was at a location on a particular day when a lady followed her friend to the movie set. She approached me and said she liked me and would like us to be together, as I wasn’t married at the time.

“Unknown to me, the producer I was working with on that set was also interested in the same lady and had been watching us from afar. He immediately assumed that we were dating, not knowing that we had just met.

“For about five days on that movie set, the producer was giving the lady money for feeding, even though she neither acted in the movie nor did any work.

“Meanwhile, I, who was working throughout those five days, was not given any money for feeding. The producer wanted me to react angrily so he could use my words against me — but I didn’t react. Interestingly, the lady came to me every day the producer gave her money for feeding, and she always told me everything.

“This made me upset and angry with the producer. However, after the movie shoot, I realized that the relationship with the lady couldn’t work because the producer was one of the top producers at the time. He could easily instruct other producers not to hire me. I couldn’t risk my career for the relationship”.

Actress Motilola Akinlami blasts Kunle Afod for alleged career sabotage

Actress Motilola Akinlami has called out senior colleague, Kunle Afod for reportedly blacklisting her in the industry.

Motilola, on Instagram platform, noted how Afod has continuously sabotaged and stopped producers from contacting her for jobs in the industry.

She further explained how the actor’s wife, Desola used to run from pillar to post over their relationship and she decided to let him go, he has made it a point to sabotage her from getting big jobs in the industry.

Expressing frustration and dissatisfaction, she called out movie producers who ghosted her because Kunle Afod reportedly manipulated their colleagues to sideline her in the movie industry.

“I had to calm down to do this video because I am boiling. I’ve kept this thing for over five years, this is the fifth year running. Please for God’s sake everyone, all the powers that be in this industry already know about this matter. Mr Kunle Afod, please leave me alone.

“Why don’t you just leave me and my career alone? They will call me for jobs and you will say they should remove me if they want to use you. Somebody just called me for a job, in fact Yomi Olorunlaye called me for a job this evening and they said Afod would be the director and I said okay only for him to send me a message that Afod said he won’t work with me.

“Afod what is it? I said I don’t want to have anything with you again and since all these years you kept insisting that nobody must call me for jobs. Is it by force that I have something with you? I said I am not doing again. When I was with you, I knew how your wife was running from pillar to post.”

“Desola warn your husband, hold your husband please. I knew how your wife was running from pillar to post and spoiling my name around the streets of Instagram and I said I no longer want to have anything with you again but you insisted that people should not call me for jobs. Why don’t you go and hold on to your wife and leave me alone? Afod leave me alone to do my job! What is it?

“First you said Femi Adebayo should not come to my set and he didn’t come, anybody that works with me you stop relating with them.

“Secondly you went ahead to tell the PM of Joke Ajadi’s job that if they call me, they should make sure you are not on the same set, I had to return the money for that set, this is like the 10th time this will be happening. Afod leave me alone! I stopped talking to you four years ago and everybody has begged you! Is it by force?

“Leave me alone Kunle Afod, I said I am not doing again. Desola hold your husband very well! What is it? Desola I know how you spoiled my name on Instagram making some people not to be friends with me till today. Hold your husband and tell him to let me do my job!”

In another video, Motilola noted that her case was similar late actor Junior Pope who was also blacklisted in the film industry.

According to her, Kunle Afod has probably also been waiting for her to die but God will not let it happen.

She said: “I’m sorry, it sounded like I was ranting earlier but it’s the truth. So many people are in my DM asking me ‘Moti why have I not been seeing you in movies?’ It’s Afod o! If they call me, he would say they should not call me! What is the reason? Because I no longer want to work with him, I no longer want to be friends with him, I no longer want to roll with him and it is not by force.

“A lot of things have happened. A lot of you have heard of this, I personally called all our industry leaders, none of them have been able to find a solution to this matter. This is the same thing they did to Junior Pope.

“They will first start by blacklisting you, he has been waiting now for the past five years to see ‘RIP’ messages about me but God didn’t do it for him. I’m not going to die Afod, I’m not going to leave this industry for you. Afod leave me alone, I have left you alone. Anywhere they mention my name, let me work.”
