Actor Kunle Remi has responded to trolls following unconfirmed allegations. 

On his Instagram page, Remi issued a stern warning, stating that he will block anyone who brings darkness and negativity to his space.

He emphasised that his page is for “light and good vibes” only and that he’s not desperate for followers or engagement.

Remi also shared a Sunday message, cautioning against absorbing negativity and urging followers to protect positivity and light.

He advised against recklessly engaging with harmful content, noting that it can have long-term consequences.

“This page is for light and good vibes, I am not desperate for followers or engagement. If you come with darkness and negativity from a blog to my page, DM, or phone. Be it a friend, fan, or family, I WILL BLOCK YOU!

“I respect my space and energy TREMENDOUSLY that’s why I don’t see all this nonsense normally. My boundaries are very clear. Love, light, and things!

“Sunday message: Be careful how much negativity you absorb. People have unknowingly bound themselves to spirits that contaminate good soil (for some, it’s followed generations). Even those who contribute to the spread and growth of negativity (I.e., laugh, comment, etc.) have said YES to being in bed with a vile spirit and, therefore, reaping whatever it will bring. Practically speaking, the internet never forgets and many have suffered economic and family consequences years later. Bottom line: Recklessly protect light and positivity and unsubscribe from darkness. Love, Light, and things”.

Kunle Remi tied the knot with lover, Tiwi earlier this year.

Actor Kunle Remi has shared his expert insights on the distinct differences between cinema-worthy films and those suited for television.

In an exclusive interview with Hiptv News, Remi highlighted that the term “cinematic” is often misused, with many filmmakers and audiences confusing TV-quality productions with true cinematic experiences.

He stressed that creating a genuinely cinematic film requires a specific level of quality, style, and effort.

The actor praised director Kunle Afolayan’s work as a prime example of good cinematic value, noting that Afolayan’s focus on cinema might not translate to success in TV film direction.

Remi also shared his ability to recognise when a film is rushed or poorly executed, even if labeled as cinema-worthy.

He encouraged emerging filmmakers to embrace constructive criticism and not take offense at feedback from critics or audiences.

According to him:  “Not everybody understands what cinema is. I don’t think a lot of people understand it in the first place, that is why you have a low-budget film put in the cinemas when it’s not even cinema-worthy. And you see people come for you. There is a difference between a cinematic film and a film for TV.

“The moment Nigerians and filmmakers understand that we won’t be having this conversation. Kunle Afolayan for example, does cinema if you look at the quality of his project, the style and effort put into it are cinema. If he does TV films, he might not do so great because he is probably focused or trained to do cinema films.

“TV films are maybe cable films or online TVs and you can tell this was done in 5 days. I’m an actor and I can tell. Sometimes I’m doing a film and they tell me, it’s for the cinemas and I laugh. I know I’m not supposed to but, it’s funny.

“I can’t discourage anyone cos it might be a starting point for some people do not be angry if people come for you or movie lovers share opinions of your film or critics talk about it cos you can’t then compare it to a Hollywood production”.

The ceremony celebrated Kunle Remi’s outstanding contributions to the film industry, marking a pivotal moment in his career.

Kunle Remi, known for his remarkable performances on screen, took to social media to express his joy and gratitude for the recognition bestowed upon him at the esteemed event.

In an emotional caption accompanying a photo from the awards night, he reflected on the journey that led him to this significant milestone.

He wrote via his Instagram: “Experiencing profound joy as I was recognized and celebrated last night @silverbirdtv MAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS,” Remi said.

“Sharing the stage with the iconic @nancyisimeofficial wasn’t a coincidence; I remember our first meeting as models in a Globacom ad back in 2009, little did we know we’d reach this moment.”

“Our belief in God and hope in the best for our journey brought us here. God is just getting started.”

However, the most poignant moment of Remi’s message came when he dedicated his award to two late Nollywood stars Mr. Ibu and Sisi Quadri.

“This is dedicated to those who paved the way, the true trailblazers I’ve had the privilege to share the screen with, especially late Mr. Ibu & Sisi Quadri,” Remi wrote. 

“Thank you for your Art. This is also for you my kindred.. We rock forever thank you.”

Popular Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi and his wife Boluwatiwi, are currently having their white wedding ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Nation reported that Kunle, in the early hours of January 1, 2024, announced his civil marriage to his wife, Tiwi, alongside their romantic photos, which caused a buzz online.

The couple also had their traditional wedding on Friday, January 19, in a star-studded ceremony.

In the photos and videos that emerged online, Tiwi is captured rocking a beautifully tied burnt orange-brown gele and a matching blouse and skirt with an orange hand fan.

The bride topped her beautiful traditional outfit with red coral beads on her neck and hands.

On the other hand, Kunle Remi wore a brown agbada, trousers of the same colour and material, red coral beads, and brown shoes.

A video of the white wedding that emerged online captured the couple exchanging marriage vows.

Tiwi, the wife of Nollywood actor Kunle Remi, has shared insights into what drew her to him and the qualities she admires the most.

She highlighted his wit, reserved demeanour, and self-assurance as key traits, incredible smile, and humour among others.

Tiwi said: “Well, he was witty, reserved, and self-assured. And physically, there was no missing his Popeye arms and incredible smile. On a lighter note, his tight trousers and jewelry caught my attention. Hehe. I now know he owns more jewelry than me!

“He has a gigantic heart! I don’t know how it fits into his body! He also has a genuine love for everyone and sees people where they are; he’s humble, which is a very attractive trait to me.

Finally, speaking about songs she would use to describe their love life, Tiwi who recently warned Nigerian ladies to stay away from her man said: “Haha! Hmm… Let me think. Perhaps: A Whole New World (Aladdin), Hakuna Matata (Lion King), and Thinking out Loud (Ed Sheeran) Do I sound like a 5-year-old or what?!.”

Popular Nollywood actor Kunle Remi’s wife, Tiwi has humorously issued a warning to Nigerian ladies to stay away from her husband.

During a banter between the black beauty and Kunle Remi’s friend shortly after their wedding, Tiwi said her husband is off the market because he’s all hers.

Tiwi prayed that God would send lovely partners for those crushing on her husband because Kunle Remi is now gone and he is officially hers.
