    Kwesé TV, Nigeria’s newest satellite pay-TV network, and telecommunication company, 9mobile, have signed a distribution agreement for the sale of Kwesé TV decoders through 9mobile Experience Centres across Nigeria.

    With this partnership, prospective Kwesé TV customers can walk into any participating 9mobile stores and purchase a Kwesé kit comprising a dish, decoder, including one-month free subscription, and installation for N10,960. The participating centres are 9mobile Experience Centres situated at The Palms Shopping Mall, Ikeja City Mall, Adeola Odeku Street on Victoria Island, Mushin, Surulere and Festac Town; all in Lagos.

    Kwesé TV offers 70+ premium channels for family viewing with an extensive programming line-up including wholesome children’s programs, live sports, lifestyle shows, movies, series and so much more! Kwesé’s appeal is not only its world-class content but its innovative industry-first ‘pay as you watch’ payment model which gives customers the choice between purchasing 3-day, 7-day and 30-day subscription packages to its full entertainment and sports bouquet.

    Also, 9mobile subscribers would access the Kwesé iflix app through exclusive video data bundles for the Kwesé iflix 1-day, 3-day, 7-day and 30-day VIP passes.

    Kwesé TV enters distribution agreement with MTN Nigeria

    Nigeria’s newest pay TV network, Kwesé TV and telecommunications giant, MTN, have collaborated on the sale of Kwesé TV decoders through MTN stores across Nigeria.

    By this collaboration, consumers who want to subscribe to Kwesé TV can now walk into any participating MTN store and purchase a Kwesé kit comprising a dish, decoder and installation for N10,960. And during the festive season, the company is offering new subscribers a chance to enjoy two months complimentary subscription if they pay N1,590 in addition to N10,960 before 31 December!

    This partnership, which will roll out through a phased approach, was launched in key flagship stores in Lagos, namely: Y’ello City Service Centre, Ikeja Service Centre, Palm Connect and Matori Service Centre.

    “Following the recent launch of our pay TV service in Nigeria, this partnership extends our distribution network and makes our products accessible to even more Nigerian consumers,” said General Manager for Kwesé TV Elizabeth Amkpa.

    “We are currently operating in selected flagship stores in Lagos, and we will soon be available in other major cities across the country in 2018 in partnership with MTN.”

    Kwese TV may break Supersports’ monopoly

    Kwese TV, owned by Zimbabwean billionaire Strive Masiyiwa, started operations in Nigeria about a week ago.  Kwese TV came to the country with decoders and satellite dishes available to subscribers, indigenous family contents, and the biggest sub-saharan sports channel, Kwese Sports.

    Kwese Sports is the largest sub-Saharan sports channel with 100 million viewers in 25 countries. It is free-to-air and aims to break the monopoly of SuperSports channels. Kwese Sports has acquired the rights to beam the 2018 FIFA World Cup live to Africa and beyond. According to Chichi Nwoke, General Manager, Kwese Sports, ‘’the matches will be live on both the free-to-air stations and those that will subscribe”.

    The company introduces flexible payment plan, which include three and seven day subscriptions at N990 and N1,850 respectively, as well as a 30-day subscription option for N6,275. Nigerians have yearned for pay-as-you-view plan since DSTV pioneered the market.

    Kwese TV is an entertain-ment-sports Pay TV operated by Econet Media, a subsidiary of the giant pan-African telco, Econet Wireless.

    KWESÉ TV, a new pay TV has entered the Nigerian market, offering subscribers ‘pay-as-you-watch’ options.

    According to the management of the Pay TV which was launched last Thursday, subscribers are promised fun filled programs with exclusive channels ranging from sports, music, telenovela, and local contents among many promised.

    General Manager, Kwese Free Sports Nigeria, ChiChi Nwoko, on Thursday said the new TV has planned spectacular show for Anthony Joshua’s ( WBA and IBF heavyweight ) next fight to commemorate “Sagamu Day’’.

    Nwoko made the disclosure at an interactive session with newsmen in the company of other top hierarchies of the company during the launch of the Kwese TV in Lagos.

    Kwese Tv has secured exclusive right to broadcast the World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua’s bout against Carlos Takam of France, which comes up on Oct. 28 in England.

    The full Kwese Tv bouquet offers over 65 channels ranging from entertainments(music, movies), religions, news, kids, business and home grown channels are also on the sport television network in Nigeria.

    According to Nwoko, the company is poised to deliver quality programmes to their prospective consumers as the opportunity arises to get closer to local consumers.

    “We are happy to launch the Kwese TV to the public with a view to delivering quality entertainment in sports, movies, children programmes, religion and news throughout the 36 states of the federation.

    “Part of our commitment to the public is showcasing the coming big boxing fight of Nigeria’s British born, Anthony Joshua, as he fights Carlos Takam of France on Oct. 28.

    “We are going to use the platform of the big heavyweight bout holding in England to stage a live event in Sagamu where there will be a fiesta as it also coincides with the Sagamu Day celebrations.

    “We have always been part of Joshua’s success story as we also brought the epoch fight between him and Wladimir Kilischko in April,’’ Nwoko said.

    According to her, on the Kwese Sports premium channel, sports fans will enjoy quality sports channels such as the ESPN, NBA TV, ESPORTSTV, LFCTV and more.

    She also said that the company was dedicated to invest in sports activities, noting that it was why the company sponsored the Nigeria Basketball League that recently crowned Kano Pillars as worthy champions of the 2017 season.

    “The sport channels will bring live actions relatively free to end users in boxing, basketball, football, athletics and other international events such as the coming FIFA World Cup.

    According Lizzie Amkpa, the General Manager, Kwese TV, said that the company was in the business for a long time investment.

    “We have been around for some time testing our content with local stations such as the NTA, and also the UHF Channel 32 and we are now ready to deliver to the entire 36 states of the federation.

    “We did not just get here in one-day, but for two years we have been testing the ground and ensuring we are ready to do quality business in Nigeria and lifting the bar in entertaining Nigerians.

    “With no fewer than 65 channels, most of which are new to the terrain, we are determined to bring the kind of stuff the women and children love to watch.
