  • Akure residents to celebrate Democracy Day with Laffmattaz

    Fans in Akure will celebrate June 12 with a special edition of Gbenga Adeyinka’s Laffmattazz at The Dome, Akure, as part of the 2019 lineup to celebrate six years of the show’s existence.

    The June 12 show has a strong lineup of comedians and musicians including the show’s headliner, Gbenga Adeyinka, Helen Paul, Akpororo, Kenny Blaq, and MC Lively, Ruggedman and Eedris Abdul Kareem amongst others.

    With support from Maltina, Laffmattaz has brought happiness to fans in Ibadan as the tour kicked off its first edition on Easter Monday. The event themed “Gbe Body E”, had the likes of Omobaba, Funny Bone, Arole and other top comedians. There were musical performances by Ruggedman, Small Doctor and living legend, 2Baba; and Instagram sensation, Lasisi Elenu was also on hand to thrill guests with his unique style of humour rich in rants about Nigeria.

    Laffmattazz was borne out of Gbenga Adeyinka’s desire to grow the impact of comedy across the South Western region of the country. The self-proclaimed Grand Comedian of the Federal Republic (GCFR), has had the longtime support of Maltina, as the event provides a good platform to express the brand’s mission of sharing happiness.

    Attendees also stand the chance to win prizes, courtesy of Maltina.

    Abeokuta was a beehive of Laffmatazz , a comedy show at its finest laced with live music performances from top Nigeria’s talents.

    Packaged by ace comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, the show, which already swept the length and breadth of the south west, made a final stop in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State.

    Hosted at the Marque, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential library, Abeokuta, the event witnessed a top list of entertainers such as Peteru, Slkomedy, Baba Alariya, MC Ajele and more who delivered stellar performances that made fans laugh their hearts out. The show came alive as Slimcase, CDQ, Faze, and more delivered thrilling performances that left the crowd asking for more.

    The comedy show which is sponsored by the nourishing malt drink, Maltina, a brand committed to sharing happiness, created memorable moments for fans and consumers through fun games, lucky dips, and spinning the wheel where they got the chance to win amazing prizes such as mobile phones, TV, Standing Fan, Maltina goody bags, and more.

    Laffmattazz was birthed from a desire to promote comedy in the South Western region. This year’s edition kicked off in April at Ibadan and the grand finale that held in Abeokuta was a major shutdown!

    The show has continuously delivered  premium comedy and entertainment to Nigerians in the South West for more than six years and has managed to make each show better than the one before it. Laffmattazz in Abeokuta was not an exception, as it was definitely bigger and better.

  • ‘We honour Abiola every year at Laffmattaz’

    Popular comedian Gbenga Adeyinka has revealed that the late politician and ‘presumed winner’ of the June 12, 1993 elections, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, known as MKO Abiola, will be honoured at this year’s ‘Laffmattazz With Gbenga Adeyinka 1st & Friends.’

    The event which holds at D Dome, Akure, Ondo State, is tagged ‘The Invasion.’

    Adeyinka said the comedy show which usually holds on public holidays like Easter Sundays, Sallah, among others chose June 12 because of its symbolism in Nigeria.

    “What we have done with Laffmattazz is to fix the dates on symbolic holidays like June 12, and we will be honouring Abiola at the show, which we usually do every year,” he said.

    The comedy show is aimed at building new generations of comedians and taking premium quality entertainment to hitherto overlooked places.

  • Woli Agba, Kennyblaq, others for ‘Laffmattaz Live in Akure’

    The Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has thrown his weight behind ‘Laffmattaz’, the rave comedy show which has been making the rounds in South Western States.

    Making its next stop in the Akure edition tagged, ‘Laffmattaz Live in Akure’, organisers have promised that the comedy show will be the mother of all comedy slash entertainment convergence in the history of Ondo State come Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at The Dome, Akure.

    Among the entertainers billed to deliver stellar performances for the evening are; Omobaba no 1, Koffi, Woli Agba, Kennyblaq, Peteru, Woli Arole the prophet, Dr. Smile, Baba Alariya, Sweet Steve, Hondastevo, MC. Ajele and other acts.

    Musical acts that will be thrilling the audience for the highly anticipated show are Reminisce, Small Doctor, Slimcase Oshosondi, CDQ, Dorman, Faze, Sound Sultan, Lord of Ajasa and many others.

    Organisers have also announced that tickets are on sale at various outlets.
