    Gbenga Adeyinka first set to take Laffmattazz abroad

    Nigerian humour merchant and Master of Ceremony, Gbenga Adeyinka 1st has concluded plans to take his Laffmattazz train to Europe and America.

    According to the entertainer, in a brief chat with The Nation, the Laffmattazz train will be going to United Kingdom, United States of America and Canada in 2025.

    Tagged ‘It’s About Time Tour,’ Adeyinka said the comedic sensation that has had audiences in stitches worldwide, has returned with a highly anticipated 2025 tour.

    “Prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience as we bring laughter and joy to stages across Nigeria, the UK, USA and Canada,” he began.

  • Maltina thrills Ilorin residents at LaffMattazz

    The memory of the Ileya festival will remain refreshing in the mind of Ilorin residents as Gbenga Adeyinka and other top entertainers stormed the city with the best of music and comedy to mark the holiday.

    The Laffmattazz train which was brought to Ilorin was supported by Maltina brand who had their crew  on hand to deliver their premium malt taste to guests at the show, as well as keep them engaged with games and other fun activities.

    The show which was tagged “Loud In Ilorin”,  held at the Arca Santa Arena in Ilorin and it witnessed the presence of important personalities as well as A-list actors, music artists and comedians. Kicking off at 2 pm the show had performances from the likes of Terry G, Eedris Abdukareem, Majek Fashek, Jaywon, Qdot, Lord of Ajasa, Helen Paul, Omobaba, Princess and other entertainers who the crowd were so delighted to see.

    Gbenga Adeyinka who has been the show’s headliner for the last six years made a grand entrance right after Small Doctor’s performance. He held the audience down for nearly twenty minutes with rib-cracking jokes and the right demonstrations to keep everyone entertained. The last performance of the day came from Reminisce who wrapped things up with some of his well-known hits.

    Fans were totally delighted at the show and the opportunity to mark the holiday in a fun way. A visibly excited attendee, Umaru Salaudeen said;

    “This was a really good show and money well spent. The comedians were on point with their jokes, same as the artistes, especially 2Baba. I am happy I came out to experience it.”

    Oluseun Lawal, Senior Brand Manager, Maltina, expressed delight at the success of the show and the opportunity it gave the brand to engage with consumers.

    ONDO, the Sunshine State was lit up recently as rave-making comedy show, Laffmattazz, delivered premium entertainment to residents of the state capital on Tuesday, June 12th.

    Sponsored by Maltina, the comedy show which held at D Dome, Akure witnessed the presence of important personalities like the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade, as well as A-list actors, music artistes and comedians.

    The Nation can report that Akure is in for an axciting time as this year’s edition of Laffmattazz holds in the Ondo state capital.

    Organiser said Kenny Blaq, Woli Arole, and Koffi, will be live on stage for the excitement time.

    In a statement obtained, “‘This year’s edition is set to hold in Akure, Ilorin and Abeokuta on June 12, after a successful edition was held in Ibadan.”

    Gbenga Adeyinka tours southwest with Laffmattazz

    Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka has commenced a tour of the South West region with his rising comedy and music brand called ‘Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka 1st and Friends’.

    The comedian kicked off the tour on Easter Monday, April 16, 2017 at the Jogor Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State.

    The event featured a long list of comedians like Lepacious Bose, Kenny Black, Still Ringing, Omobaba, MC Tagwaye aka President Buhari, Ambassador Wahaala, Lafup, Tomiwasage, Peteru, Obama, Shete and MC Remote among others.

    Also treating fans to musical performances were artistes such as Dr SID, CDQ, Kcee, Harrysong, SoundSultan, Eedris Abdulkareem, Sir Shina Peters, Capital FEMI, Abisolanoni with a surprise performance by Mavins first lady, Tiwa Savage while DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Secxy and DJ Code showed their skills on the wheels of steel.

    “This is one thing that I have strived hard to achieve. I won’t lie to you, it has been a herculean task owing to several reasons but we thank God that with our formidable team, we have kicked off,” said Gbenga Adeyinka, who disclosed that the next stop after Ibadan will be on May 29, 2017 in Akure, Ondo State.

    “I have always wanted to bring out the best of comedy in the South West, knowing fully well that comedy is deeply rooted in this region from the days of our fathers who are without doubt legends of the trade, hence my decision to go on a tour of the region with my friends in the entertainment world.”

    One of the highlights of the show was the post humous honour bestowed on one of the South West’s famous comic, late Oladokun Muftau, popularly known as Alaran, whose wife and daughter were present at the show.

    “One of the things we strive to achieve with Laffmattazz is honour popular comedians in the region, who were mostly actors,” said Gbenga Adeyinka, adding that, “this we have done from Baba Sala to Baba Ajimajasan and a host of others.”

    Ibadan is set to reel with laughter this Easter as ace Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka brings back the fifth edition of his signature show, LAFMATTAZ, to the ancient city.

    The show which is tagged ‘The Legends, the Raves & I’ is scheduled to hold at the 5, 000 seat capacity hall of Jogor Centre on Easter Sunday which falls on March 27, 2016.

    The comedian with the moniker, Grand Comedian of Nigeria, GCON, will headline the show with other seasoned acts as well as new school sensations. On the Microphone to tickle ribs for the evening will be comedians like Alibaba, Bash, Omo Baba, Seyi Law, Lepacious Bose, Mc Ajele, Peteru, Still Ringing, Kelly Blind, SLK, Shete, Arole, Obama, Dr Smile, Dr Frick, Vitamin D, Rapindaddy, Olympia, Shem, Ojemba, Seeco, Mc Dannie B, Laffmattazz Crew and so on.

    WITH a number of corporate organisations throwing their weights behind the fourth edition of Laffmattazz, a comedy show, the organisers have promised residents of Ibadan, Oyo State a fun-filled Easter.

    The annual comedy show packaged by celebrated comedian and compere, Gbenga Adeyinka, will hold on Sunday, April 20 at Kakanfo Inn, Ibadan, Oyo State.

    According to Adeyinka, “We are very careful with the packaging of this event because we want parents to feel comfortable watching this show with their young children this Easter. That is why we usually choose the artistes carefully and the brand we deal with.”

    THE annual Laffmattazz hosted by Gbenga Adeyinka and friends has been openly endorsed by King Sunny Ade. This year’s edition will be staged in Ibadan come March 31st.

    Meanwhile, Gbenga Adeyinka has opened up on why Funke Akindele is headlining his show this year.

    In a chat with the comedian, he explained that the resolve to bring Funke Akindele on board of his annual comedy show, Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka 1st and Friends, was borne out of her success in comedy and entertainment industry as a whole.

    “Funke has positioned herself as one of those you can’t help but reckon with in the entertainment industry and comedy in particular. She has worked assiduously and we feel the people of Ibadan deserve to drink from her fountain of talent,” the self-acclaimed Grand Comedian of Federal Republic of Nigeria expressed.

    Funke Akindele is billed to co-host the annual comedy show at Jogor Centre, Ibadan on Sunday March 31, 2013.
